Surprised to find myself using the C-PD as my current overhand disc of choice. It has a nice slow turn similar to a firebird and it is sneaky long on thumbers.

My first reaction is that you were joking, Mark, with your suggestion of the "Warp" or the "Orbit." This is mostly because Discraft already makes the Nebula. It was the 2008 ace race disc. :doh:

Throw with your elbow in tight to your body. Practice this by warming up your forehand with a belt around your torso and upper arm just above the elbow. This will force you to keep the elbow in and is a good drill for working on your snap/timing with the wrist extension.
