Excellent course!
Variety of different hole types - obstacles, elevation changes, open holes, narrow holes... a little bit of everything. Very few bugs. Park is very nice and a great place for a course!
Watch out for people walking / driving
ESP Buzzz
Champ Roc3
Champ Mako3
Ibex
Obex
I go back and forth between my Buzzz and Ibex, and also between my Roc3 and Obex... each paid does similar things, so it depends on how I feel that day. I also throw a Classic Judge
I've just recently started getting up to 350+, and it's mostly been with a DX Destroyer. If I throw it a little high, it turns some and then comes back. If I keep it low with a hyzer flip, it flips to anny for a bit and then glides out with just a very small fade at the end.
I have a Star...
Oops you're right - no fairway drivers on the list. I ended up going with a light Lace and an Obex. Might have some putting issues, but I'm a terrible putter anyway and I'm going to just have to throw short drives and up-shots under the basket.
I thought they let you have either a distance driver or a fairway driver - I'm pretty sure the Trak was available in the dropdown, but I'll double-check.
The Champion Roc3 is a Speed 5 (5-4-0-3 I think). The Obex seemed very "champ roc3ish" to me.
I'm going to be playing in a Vibram Birdie Bash in a few weeks at my home course. We can only use 2 Vibram discs, but we get to pick them. I've only ever thrown Innova and a Buzzz. All.of the holes will be shortened some, but I'd bet there'll be a couple 300 footers in there.
What two discs...
Update - got 12 holes in this morning. Played bogey golf which wasn't my best at all (though the course at Kent State usually eats me up), but the Teebird and Roc3 flew very predictably even if I didn't throw them all that well. I played nearly the entire round with them and I can see them...
Since I'm gonna try and play an early morning round tomorrow before work, wife gave me an early Christmas present - Star Teebird and Champ Roc3! I'll give them a whirl tomorrow morning. Thanks again everyone.
Thanks again guys. It could just be that I don't trust my mids to go that far, and they can. For some thing between 220-300, I've been easing up on a 10-11 speed when I could probably try a Skeeter or leopard to get there. Maybe I'll give those (and a new Roc) a whirl at those distances.
My buddy has a Roc3 and an Atlas that I've toyed with. I love the Roc3 and will definitely add that. I threw the Atlas, too but I still like my Skeeter better. Might just be one of those things.
Yeah all of my discs in DX plastic are beat in pretty good (guess I hit too many trees...), and I really like the feel of the Star and Champ plastics more.
I messed around with my friend's Buzzz and liked it, but I like my Skeeter just as much. Feels good off of my hand, I feel I can control...
Thanks for the advice so far guys.
I started thinking about the 12-13s once I started seeing my Mamba turn over hard on me when I keep it low and fast. I get that's what it's kinda supposed to do, but that got me thinking that I might be ready to take that step up soon.
I don't think it's...
