Really nice course.
Two baskets in place for every pad all the time! Great use of a smaller piece of land. Technical but not too difficult for players of less experience. A good variety of holes of different distances. Great signage and easy to follow layout.
None.
I played this course for the...
When I have time to practice, I go to one of two nearby schools that have a wide open field on the property to practice drives and any shots that I can't do in my own yard. I have two practice baskets in my back yard which is 90' long so I have all kinds of shots I can practice at home too. One...
I mainly use a Gateway SSS Wizard. My second putter is an Innova DX Aviar, but I've tried the Prodigy PA 4 in 300s plastic and really like it. I'm going to replace my Aviar with the PA 4 and it just may become my main putter.
I mostly throw flippy discs uphill. I have a 149 gr. r-pro Katana that I let go on a hyzer that flips over nicely and climbs beautifully. I also throw a beat up 180gr. DX Stingray on uphill shots with the same technique. When the disc flips over it gains altitude and I also reachback low and...
I let a friend use a disc of mine and he got a pickup truck ace with it. He shanked the crap out of it. It went way off course and into the back of a pickup truck that was being driven down the nearby road. I was lucky the driver of the truck stopped and got out and fished my disc out the truck...
I got my new Blizzard 150gr. Boss and 144Gr. Katana yesterday. They are both pretty domey and at first thought about send ing them back, thinking they wouldn't be worth a crap. I'm glad I went out in the field and tested them. Both of these puppies are making the bag. They both have sparkles in...
I organize my bag by Speed ratings and from highest on one end to the lowest on the other end. Then I organize the speed catagories by stability rating. Over stable on one end to understable on the other end.
Drivers are deffinately dangerous, but the person throwing the disc is responsible for any damage that it may cause. Perhaps the best thing to do is educate the newbies as to the potential danger. A warning lable on all new discs, that tells of the potential danger and instruction not to throw...
I played Severign Lang DGC with a couple of friends and one of thier sons. Winds were 25mph with gusts up to 40mph. It was a lot of fun! But my score sucked.
I haven't played everything in Ky but I do know that Charlie Vettiner, Muldraugh, Freeman Lake and Holler in the Hills are really nice. They represent a good variety of types of courses. Of course read thier respective reviews for details and amenities.
I have heard great struff about Idlewild...
I read in your review of Fun Farm that a member of your crew went down hard in the creek. Who was it? Were they injured? I hope it didn't ruin thier trip.
Man, I was just reading your reviews of Holler, Freeman, and goat path and then I realized who you were. Oh well, I hope you guys had a lot of fun on your trip. Come back through here next year with Paul and I'll be all healed up and will play more than a round with y'all.
