Has anyone ever add sealant to their disc after a dye?
I have dyed a disc that is intended for a wall hanging and not actual use so I was wondering if a sealant might help protect it from the eventual fading.
If anyone has done this successfully could you give me an idea of what brand you used...
Not all of the Rits ending in 11 are bad. For packets you need to open the box and look for 'ND' written on the pack. This can sometimes be hard to read, it would be printed after the color name. If there is an 'ND', that dye will NOT work.
I plan to sell the The Joker disc on an auction, if anyone wants to make me an offer beforehand, I'm sure I can be discouraged from putting it up for sale. It's a Star leopard disc
I've really become a fan of using elmer's for remasking. The one big draw back is waiting for the glue to dry.
When remasking an area next to vinyl already on the disc, I've found that if you leave the vinyl on, put down the glue as carefully as you can, give the glue a minute or two to settle...
Donny, The year on the liquid is not going to always mean that it does not work. If the bottle cap has the letters ND on it also, then it will NOT work. ND = no discs (not really, but good way to remember).
