Also wanted to add: The Buzzz is an incredible disc, too. Seems like the majority's opinion of what to recommend.
I think something like the MD is a slightly better choice for you because it powers down better. It acts more like a putter at low speeds than a Buzzz does, so it's a little more...
If I could only have a single midrange disc in my bag, it'd be a C-Line MD. Unless you're really trying to huck it, it holds whatever angle you put it on.
165g S-Line is an excellent call for woodsy stuff. It's a little easier to flip up, and it'll stay in the air a bit longer.
Don't sleep on max weight D-Line, either. Especially as it beats in, it's super handy for woods courses. It doesn't need much power at all to get a full flight.
And an...
You should! It's a fun disc. Basically just a faster Gator. I could actually seeing it being a more useful disc in place of a Gator if you bag an OS putter like a Zone.
That's exactly what they do. It must be very advanced engineering. I chained out #2 at Acorn Park (in MN) with my Champ Rhyno last week. It must've done the exact kind of Tarzan swing you're talking about, because it somehow ended up like 20 feet from the pin.
If they ever make them again (sigh) and I don't buy them all before you, try a 163-165g S-Line FD.
It's not a massive difference from max weight, but for me it cuts down on the "oops too much hyzer" that happens when trying to lace a hyzer-flip down a tight ~325 fairway.
That said, if you're...
I bought a few of those, loved them, and came really close to buying like 10 more. I just didn't want to deal with the stress of "this disc is not replaceable," so they ended up getting sent to friends or traded. But gosh, if they were in production, I'd be such a happy camper with three in my...
I'm really digging the MD for this. It holds any angle you put it on really well. It doesn't take "fast mid-range" velocity to get it to flip up flat. And it doesn't want to glide as far as a Comet, so it's easy to range.
