Thomas Park
Scenic, foliage-filled, landscape. Former & Current City Orchard. Very Challenging. Plenty of tunnel action, especially as you enter the rear woods.
Huge Concrete Pads.
Poison Ivy & Mosquitoes are still yet not under control. Rain can create quite marshy conditions.
The walk around...

ELLSWORTH
If I lived in Ellsworth, I would be glad I had it. Long but narrow park. Some nice terrain with a creek running through.
I have to agree with "scarpfish's" review - (see below) - although they indeed have the area and baskets - it's just all wrong.

Emporia Middle School
Expansive area that runs around the periphery of the school. Grounds well-maintained. Hilly & rolling in some places, straight-forward others. Incorporates pine trees, weeping willows and others as various obstacles.
Some players might find the holes and layout a little...

To me, it's all about the feel and the result - which I think go hand in hand.
I like the Pro-D Plastic of Discraft over Innova's DX -
Although different in feel, I like both Star & ESP...
I'm pretty simple & straightforward, and I pack light.

sgt. schultz sez: "i know NOTHING!"
The Polecat rocks, rules, does the job like no other, and is a very "unknown" weapon in the battle for lower scores, whether you're a poser, hippie, or iPhone owner...
I imagine the general "machismo" view of "it's only for girls and retards" helps keep it...

K-State Salina
Makes use of an open corner of the campus' north side. Provides another disc golf option in the area.
Tee boxes unidentifiable. No signage. Very difficult to decipher most aspects of course layout and its play.
Not too much thought went into this course, and although there is much...

Lakewood Park North
Very nice setting with lake in view during most holes.
Has a miniature golf feel to it, although that's not really such a bad thing. Boat ramp access road is plunked down right in the middle.
Layout is such that you stay in a more general area than Lakewood South. A kinder...

BROWN MEMORIAL
This is one of the most scenic, pleasant of disc golf courses. Situated in the private Brown Memorial Park (open to the public), it is a huge chunk of land with many mature trees, well manicured grass, tucked back away from everything, with a river running through to boot.
It...
