My favorite 150 class drivers are (in rough descending order of the distance I get with each given a good throw):
-Under ~135 starlite sidewinder (Yeah, it's a real problem in the wind. Not a disc I regularly carry)
-Opto Jade
-Opto Diamond (Probably goes as far as, or further than, the Jade...
Kinds depends on how straight/far you throw your existing drivers. But here are a few discs that I find really useful as a fellow noodle armer that might/might-not fit into your bag.
150 polecat
mid-weight ESP comet
Opto Pure
Axiom Envy
150 Teebird
True that.
To be honest, I just counted up and There are currently 8 discs in my bag (extra putter and driver that I don't always carry). But i could reduce my bag down pretty small before I'd get rid of the polecat. I could even see a driver/putter/polecat round. Though I'd feel better if a...
FWIW, I prefer the Polecat to the Rattler. But I like both in their own ways. I've made some fun shots with the Rattler (and the similar-ish Supper Puppy). But the Polecat just suits my game better. I use it for any approach shot I can get away with. Most every round I end up clanging metal from...
Always nice to wake up from my long disc gold winter's nap and see a fun new lid thread to follow.
Gonna pick up some lil'wizards for fun and kiddos. Would like to try the gateway catch disc as well if I could find one. Had skipped the Claws due to the cruddy plastic. Might try the liquid...
Overly heavy discs I can at least have some fun with and work a few shots. Overly fast discs I can't do a thing with and just end up getting frustrated or playing an ugly joke of a hyzer game.
That having been said, I'm not a big arm and throw slower 150 class drivers most of the time.
Still loving a polecat in the bag. Still rolling with the 150. Still giving me 1-2 great approach shots a round (and a number of approach shots that wodnt have been any better with anything else).
Just tell yourself you need a backpack so you have room to shed a layer in the cold/wet months.
Unless you live somewhere warm. Then I got nothing for you.
