English ivy
Pretty forest, except...
...the entire forest has been taken over by English ivy, which hides discs really well, and will eventually destroy this forest if left unchecked.
The English ivy is really bad, I wouldn't recommend this course for people passing through.

ideal
the greatness of the course has already been well described in other reviews. i'll just say that if you're a traveling disc golfer, which many people who use this site are, and you're looking to play a course on your way through a town, a course you've never played before and you don't...

everyone's favorite course
i'd say harmon hills is the best disc golf course ever. every hole is like its own world. each hole is unique and the view from every tee makes you wanna throw it over them mountains! almost every hole on the front 18 would be the top signature hole on any other...

Not ready for primetime
This is a dinky little short course that's been around for 4 years but looks like it was put in a couple weeks ago. No numbers on baskets, tee signs only consist of a number, the layout is crowded with fairways very close to or crossing each other, no directions like...

rrrrough!
great, difficult shots- lots of variety and serious risk/reward- go for long hero drives on many of these holes at great peril of losing your disc!
scenic views in the park on the summer evening i was there.
the tee signs are beautiful, but given the odd layout of the course, i'm very...

locals only apparently
scenic
impossible to figure out layout. tee pads and baskets everywhere, some baskets have numbers, some not. some have wrong numbers on backwards number plates. 14's long pin has a #13 on it. 18 short has a backwards 9.
almost all pins not visible from tee pads...

killer course
beautiful course on a wooded ball golf course in a redwood forest- very little undergrowth and nice fairways/greens.
shot variety- left/right/straight/up/down/short/long- little to desire there for this piece of property.
secluded- up the hill from willits and at $10 for dg and...

uff da
the views are spectacular, not just towards the coast but also up the mountain, amazing setting.
westport is a lovely little quiet town with very little traffic and nice locals. there's one affordable motel, and one more expensive hotel 2 blocks south with the only restaurant in town on...

new whistler's
i did a long review of the original course, which has always been a favorite of mine- secluded, usually uncrowded, super scenic, a great campground with full bathroom facilities, hot/cold water, showers, and with mostly great disc golf holes. it has recently been expanded to 27...

umm...
i came here in 2010 expecting a well- maintained, historic disc golf course that must have been well loved to survive this long, but instead, it almost seemed abandoned- no signage whatsoever, not even at the beginning to indicate that this was indeed a disc golf course. some tee pads...

unique to this area
unusually open course for this region. many long holes where you can really let 'er rip, as opposed to the super-tight woodsy, short nature of most courses in this region.
they recently placed real baskets on every hole. some "art targets" are still in place, but there are...

spectacular golf!
secluded- a bit out in the middle of nowhere, but in a great, well maintained park with camping, restrooms, showers, scenic views of the foothills and the umpqua river. they even have 2 yurts for rent near the campground for the luxury campers.
uncrowded except for during one...

locals only
the front and back 18 in glacier are where i learned to play disc golf. the holes are all short and technical- leave your drivers in the car. if you are here for the first time, you will have a hard time finding all the holes, and many of the teepads are in the fairways of other...

great course!
It's obvious that this course has been around for a while- the places where a bad shot would normally go into the woods have obviously been well traveled and are relatively free of undergrowth, and i played in the most "growth-y" time of year(early summer in the southeast). Also...

what an awesome course!
i'll start by saying that this is one of the best courses i've ever played. today was my first round here, so see other reviews for a course description.
great variety of shots.
beautiful rolling hills and great use of the gentle elevation changes the terrain has
no real...
