Saint is the only one I use alongside my teebird. I can power down more with the saint and get a straighter shot than a teebird, or I can hyzerflip it up and get some turnover out of it. Its also great for powered down forehands. I prefer the GL to the Opto
I love my GL saint, I was able to push it a little past 400 feet while doing some driving practice last weekend. It certainly doesnt replace a teebird though. It flips easier, and requires a bit more room for a long distance flight
What discs would you guys recommend practicing with? An Xl? Stalker? For short range shots with fairway drivers I would either just use a hyzer shot or more of an anhyzer loft and let it fade back. Trying to power straight lines doesnt seem to work very well.
If you throw full power with the GL Saint perfectly flat, it doesnt like to come back unless you give it some height. Throw it with some hyzer though, or power down a little, and it will come back for you. It requires a little more finesse, but it flies beautifully. I overthrew mine while...
after receiving my gold line saint, I can say that the opto is definitely more stable. Theyre both fantastic discs though, ive been able to throw my GL farther than my teebird pretty easily, probably because I can get it to flip up and turn a little bit. So much glide.
