Where do you see disc golf in 5 years?

More courses sprouting up from a grassroots level is all I care to see. I'm not in the industry, so I'm not a "grow the sport" kind of guy. Disc manufacturers will continue to offer countless molds in a variety of plastic to satisfy the masses.

I would have made that shot but my elbow hurts

I always blame Obama. Interestingly, no one argues with my excuse.

How long is too long ?

Most DG rounds can be nicely edited to 30 minutes. I would try to make it as short as possible while still having every shot in there.

Pedestrians in the Fairway... What would you do?

Even though it's a course, it's also an open park for other activities. I think its considered the same as if you are playing football at the park and an errant throw smacks someone in the face that is having a picnic nearby. Either case its the person throwing that's ultimately responsible...

Pedestrians in the Fairway... What would you do?

I just holler at them to get their attention so they are watching as I tee off. For the most part if they have their eyes on it, they're safe. And it's rare that they are exactly where I'm throwing. Typically I'm driving over them which is safe but want them to be looking just in case I shank it.

    Play better with better players?

As with most sports/activities, playing with better people will help develop your game simply due to absorbing info, strategy, lines, techniques, etc... I know when I started a long time ago I had to figure it out on my own and basically sucked forever because I didn't have any idea of how it...

Rules of 21 putting (rule clarification)

This comes up often in Washers and Ladderball and other such games where you have to land on 21. I prefer to play where you don't count your score till your round is complete however many play your score is adjusted throughout your round. Either way works, just have to determine your "house...

    Proper etiquette when finding discs?

Keep with no ink. Pro Shop will just take it and sell it so you might as well benefit since you were the one who found it. Can always give it to a friend too.

    Gauging Success

Overall success for me is a good score, but I can always take away what I did well even without a good score. It's important for me to look back and see what I did well that round as well as what I didn't. When I want to make myself feel better, I'll justify a good round as playing well in 2...

Short tees vs long tees for practice?

Guess it depends what you're working on, but its more beneficial to your game to play the longer locations since it may demand distance and a wider variety of shots. And since you're playing solo, the score doesn't matter much and it's basically practice.

Disc golf vs. Ultimate in popularity

While Ultimate might be bigger as a sport in general, I think at the local level it could be dg. If your town has a dg course, there's people playing everyday while there probably isn't any Ultimate being played. Of course there's areas where Ultimate is big, but plenty of areas where it's just...

Is it me or will Paul McBeth be the best DGer ever?

Would be cool to hear Paul's take on old vs. new generation and what factors he considers would make the best dg player of all time. You out there Paul?

    Drinking while playing PDGA tournament

It's no surprise it's against the rules and there's no argument that is going to change the rules. Just be discreet and no one will be the wiser nor care. I mix up coctails in 2 aluminum type water bottles for every round.
