So...if you take a look at the nose of the new 22's versus the 18's, it seems a smidge bulkier in my opinion. And that's what I'm thinking is contributing to the shorter flight for the '22's.
I truly am...can't help but buy a comet if it catches the eye. I've had the same two comets in the bag for probably 3 years. About the only time I rotate one out is when I hit an ace with it. Unfortunately, most of my aces are with putters.
Been off the site for a bit and decided to hop on today to see what's happening. I see we're talking comets. Here's my family picture...minus the two in my bag at the moment.
A couple molds from DGA...the Proline Torrent and Tempest(especially poppy tops) are pretty solid bombers disc's that I don't see a whole lot of people throwing.
Another one that seems to go a long ways, but don't see many people throwing is the Innova Vulcan. I've seen some guys that have big...
Head over to OTB Discs and grab yourself some of the white custom stamped Proline Hurricanes. I have a couple of them and they bring the beef. I threw one into a 25mph headwind this past weekend and it didn't even turn. It just flew straight and then hyzered out at the 375 mark.
The Hypercane I think misses the mark for what you're looking for. The one I have I would say falls between a beefy Force and a Nuke OS in terms of stability. It's almost like a faster Hellfire IMO. If I were to give it a numbers rating, I'd say 12, 4, 0, +4.
In my opinion, I'd like to see...
Been away for a bit because of moving and such. Here's my take on the current Proline Hurricanes. Something changed in the way they mold up, right around the time that McBeth joined up at Discraft and the Forces kind of changed too. Might just be coincidental, but all Proline Hurricanes I've...
As a bit of a Comet addict(3 in the bag at all times), the overstable compliment is probably the most common slot in my dg bag that gets rotated because it is tough to find something that you like. Anyway...here's my list of disc's that are a solid compliment to the Comet. These are in no...
In true fashion, it depends. I can throw them and have them come out of a force turn. But, it does require a little more height than I usually throw them on if I'm going to do that. If you've ever thrown a fresh DX Shark, I would equate it to that. Very straight with a decent amount of fade...
Probably the least stable pipeline currently. I really like throwing mine in the woods for hyzer flip to flat with a very straight finish or slight right finish(rhbh). If I throw it flat it will hold over and not come out of the turn.

A buddy was cleaning out his brothers garage and came across this golden oldie. He said this was from around 1998 and thought it was an old TP Comet. Either way, I’m gonna throw this in the bag the next time I go out.

I carry three ESP Comets and a slightly worn SP Quake. This works well for me. I will also power down on a fairway sometimes depending on the situation to cover things between my comets and quake.
