In the beginning,,,,,,,,,, Alan Beaver named the first rendition Renaissance Pro Players Course, RPPC. I chose to revive that name and retire the Grey/Black nomenclature. As Huey stated, the maintenance on some of the holes was beyond reasonable. It required mowing on hillsides that were often...
Congrads on the birth of your target Cam. I am eager to get the chance to try it out. I have chased the game of ball golf since I was a youth riding a bicycle 3 miles to play 9 holes for fifty cents. I do realize that not everything in ball golf has a direct parallel in disc golf but there are...
I have walked property with the town of Matthews park department and David Lorenz who facilitated this opportunity. It is beautiful wooded property (fairly mature trees) with moderate terrain and approximately 20 acres to use. I anticipate a par 54 course with a length around 5000'. This...
Shortening had nothing to do with whining Huey. All about time spent on the course. You have to strike a balance between the challenge and getting players to the next round on time or back to their hotels to prepare for festivities.
There will always be whining and complaining and dissenting...
Tom will unleash his wrath on Huey. Teeheehee. I dont care if anyone wants to post reviews now. The feedback I have received the last couple of days validates my intent and execution. Hmmm, perhaps execution was a poor choice of words.
Yo. Yes it does. Today is RenSke's birthday. Took a month. Wow! Now the grooming begins. Breakfast at IHOP and then install the final 6 baskets. Tee at high noon. Par 54. No measurements yet.
Hey David, I did the design at Crooked Creek. I had not heard of the Matthews project. I would be happy to speak with "them" if I knew who they were. Do you have contacts?
The "good mix" that "should be" is totally dependent on the piece of property you were given to work with and the constraints levied on the designer/builder by the park department or the county they are working with.
You can't build open holes if you were given a forest to work with.
Sigh, let it go Huey. No response, the high road. Dont you have some stumps to chop on the new course that you labored thousands of hours to build for Matt and the rest of us?
Chew on that Matt, and do something productive.
By the way, there is no pro division. People playing for little more...
This company is from West Jefferson. It is great to think big, but you better know your market and your business. I think someone needs to do a lot of homework.
Odds are that the hole will increase 50'-60' in length. Huey and I have not looked it over together to finalize a plan. The tree did come into play ocassionally but was more of a scenic wonder.
Sigh. That oak had to be well over 200 years old. Imagine what took place over the years around that ground where it grew. It literally makes me want to cry to think it is gone. What a magnificent tree it was. RIP big ol' tree.
