Yeah, I get that, Ray.
Sure I have my local courses which are quick and convenient for a round after work and before sunset. They do the trick quite well.
I guess the difference is that I wouldn't rate them 3.78 and actually advise out-of-towners that they are the best course in the area...
I'm not sure what kind of courses you're used to up in Juneau, R-Ogre, but I'm scratching my head at any recommendation, even a lukewarm positive one, of this Adams Hollow course.
Maybe they did the best they could with the land available, but I got the heebee jeebees on the drive in. And sure...
Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I’m going to be at a wedding in Denver in September and looking for the best course nearest to the airport and metro Denver. Is it still Adams Hollow in Brighton?
(Yes, I’m well aware of all the fantastic courses elsewhere in Colorado…please don’t...
Why wasn’t there a big cut?
Most large PDGA A-tier and larger events have a sufficient cut so that the last card is teeing off at 2pm or so at latest.
In this manner, the competitors can be done and awards ceremony wrapped up and folks on their way home by dinner time.
It also gives some...
How close to dark did they finish? Will the award ceremony be illuminated by car headlights? How about the last competitors and fans who stay to watch it all, and then want to drive home…will they get home by midnight?
These are all valid concerns that SOMEBODY isn’t taking into account.
What genius did the planning for this tournament so that the last MPO card will tee off at 3:47pm local time on a Sunday?
Was there a weather delay or anything else that could explain this?
This is quite ridiculous.
Players often think based on how well they did in practice, a tournament layout is going to play too easy…and then the course shows its teeth. Or people just have an off day. Many folks would kill to have their “bad” rounds be 1015 rated!!
I’d much rather see him own up to the ridiculous move...

I really really hope that people understand that there is a PDGA Majors & NT Committee, chaired by BoD member Nate Heinold, with the following members:
Shawn Sinclair
Brian Hoeniger
Matthew Rothstein
Todd Lion
Matěj Verl
and also includes PDGA Director of Operations Mike Downes, and...
Bottom line is that for players who are frustrated right now, there are easy avenues for this frustration. There are TDs, there is a club, there are people right there in town to contact to try and get things fixed. Posting cryptic messages on social media and calling out the national...
This is like saying that the PGA (Professional Golf Association) is to blame because there isn’t enough gravel down in the parking lot at Augusta or Rae’s Creek is flooding or the rough is an inch too high.
This event is being hosted by the Music City Disc Golf Club, Tournament Director Wil...
I’ve actually been to Highbridge Hills (Pro Worlds 2007) and I realize that it is extreme northern Wisconsin, but I just can’t believe your statement that the fall foliage is peaking on Sept. 16th.
In fact, I worked the Green Mountain Championships DGPT event last weekend in extreme northern...
Thank you for reminding me of that debacle. I had never heard of a TD running a PDGA A-Tier SuperTour / DGPT Elite Series event, and then turning around and running a PDGA Major event the very next weekend. But that is exactly what happened, and it was no surprise that the subsequent event was a...
Somebody I know who played in this event complained about really bad chigger bites at HB.
If that’s true, unfortunately it looks like that course just dropped a bit on my wish list…it’s one of the highest rated in the US but I ain’t making a special trip somewhere just to get a hundred+...
