Summer of 20...10, maybe? I went up there for an unsanctioned tournament that John had plastered all over the Highbridge website. Got up there and we ran into 3-4 other groups the whole weekend and only one even knew what I was talking about, but they never bothered signing up. I even talked...
Apparently a few more months make a difference. I just got the following reply for exactly the same wear on my wife's first-run Ranger:
FYI in case anyone was hoping they cared about their bags for more than a year...
Mine has just enough room for 1 pencil each and it even takes a slight tug to get them to pull out. The far right pocket is a little stretched from holding a sharpie, but it's still not a good fit for two pencils.
They were probably just estimating the size when they were sewn, but that's a...
If it did, he didn't get much help from Kickstarter. The project closed as a failure on Aug 1st with 3 backers for a total of $90. Just a little shy of the $18,700 goal.
FWIW it's a neat idea, but a product that is only going to appeal to a fraction of an already niche market is going to be...
^What he said.
They're plenty tough, but they carry the weight way too far out and it really jacked up my back on long rounds. I wasn't a fan of the non-disc storage either.
It makes a good gym bag though. Clothes in the main area, shoes in the putter pocket and shower stuff in the drink...
Thanks. I ended up re-writing the Gateway section a few times. I really didn't want to turn it into a complete bash of the bag, but next to a Ranger or Cataylst, it's just completely outclassed. It got me through a year of disc golf and at the time was the only backpack my wife could even...
Alright, now that my Catalyst is up to room temperature, some photos and updates:
It's still a tight fit, but 2 Judges will fit in the go-get-it slot with the divider in place. I'm curious how much more it will stretch with continued use - just going from out of the box to sitting upright was...
I got my gray/black bag today.
I'm happy to report that it is 100% intact and I'm very pleased with it based on my initial impressions. I'm going to let it thaw for a few hours before I go much further, as it's been sitting on my front door step out of the sun on a day that topped out at 10...
It looks like the UPS tracking link finally updated. The site says it was just dropped off this morning, so maybe Friday, probably next Monday before a lot of reviews start coming in.
And I say THIS.
We had our fun trashing them when the first response is what we had to go on, but whether it was a screw-up on Hillary's part or we really swayed them, it IS being taken care of properly and that should be what is taken out of tonight's Internet maelstrom.
SERIOUSLY? I can see if it was missing a zipper cord or even had a crooked seam or two, but the straps are pretty much the main point of a backpack. How do you miss that?
In a morbid way, I can't wait to see what horrors the rest of us end up unboxing.
