Does Harry Myers host a mini to anyone's knowledge?

Putting practice: is it harmful to your game to practice with same mold but in different plastics? For example, I have 4 aviars all 172g, but 1 is a star and the others are DX. What say you guys?

So are there "majors" in pro DG? I see people talk about worlds a lot. What are the BIG tournaments everyone follows?

Another +1 for UDisc. The designer is constantly working on it and improving it with updates unlike other apps. It saves scorecards, keeps stats, inventory of discs, and a course search/GPS feature. Just what I needed and I recommend it.

Alright so how is an ace race typically designed with regards to the course? By that I mean do you shoot from the tee pad on all holes or do they set alternate tee pads? I can only reach a handful of greens with the drive. I was just curious because my local course was hosting one and it looks...

That's good to know. The DX had been great for that type of shot.

That's a pretty cool hole. We have a new course around here that has something similar except its an implanted bolder instead of a pyramid.

Haha I know it's been a good disc :thmbup: That DX plastic has just met one too many trees. It's shredded now.

Nailed my first ace with that 150 DX Tee Bird today. Might have to retire that one now. Been meaning to start using a slightly heavier Tee Bird in better plastic for slight turnover shots.

I hear a lot of great things about the Harry Myers course. I'm going to be near downtown Dallas and the tollway. I think the closest park to me is Fritz which I hear is pretty good for a 9-hole.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, new to the sport. I have been playing two months almost daily with 1-2 rounds a day. Started playing as a summer hobby type deal, but it's become somewhat of an obsession. From Waco, but will be moving into the DFW area in a few weeks. So if there are any DFW guys...

I appreciate all the advice guys. I will admit I have had somewhat of a putter controversy, but the strategy smarkquart laid out makes a lot of sense so Ill give that a run. Ill definitely add a few more or the same mold once I settle in.
