I discovered disc golf when I was around 66 years old. I had started an exercise program including a lot of walking about 10 years prior. My walking would often take me through a nice city park that had an 18 hole disc golf course. As I walked through and observed players enjoying the game I...
Bought one of these this week in Fission plastic 162g. Haven't had time to throw it much. I really like the speed 5 discs, the Mako 3 has gotten quite a bit of use from me.
I agree with much of what Nick said. Paige has literally dedicated much of her life solely to disc golf and has spent an unusually large amount of time communicating with her fans. In all of this time she was independent and could dedicate all of this time without creating any problems for...
I have a 168g Gold Line River that has been my mainstay driver for probably 6 years or more. It just gets better and better. I have a couple of new Opto Rivers at the same weight that I throw occasionally but I just don't have the same confidence in them. This disk does not get thrown around...
On a similar note, I had a conversation with my skin specialist about my treatment of pre-cancerous spots on my face and head and he told me that studies have shown an increase in skin cancers found due to in the 1960's seed corn companies started giving farmers baseball caps with their logos on...
I have tons of respect for Kristin. She is so tough mentally, plays smart, and can master all facets of the game. And she is a gracious winner. Having said that, I like the rest of the FPO field and pretty much root for them all to have a good tournament performance. As a whole women's...
I have bought from Marshall Street, OTB Disc Golf, Disc Golf Center, and I think Infinite. I haven't had a problem with any of them, I just normally check Marshall Street first as they were the first one I used. I won't order a disc anymore unless I can pick the exact color and weight.
Disc golf has been Paige's whole life since about the age of 12-13. I don't think anyone has dedicated more of their life for a span of time like this than Paige. She has to be aware of her injury and I'm sure it is gonna change her approach to her game to some degree. However it goes this...
I have only permanently lost 2 discs in my career. One was just accidently left at a course and the second was lost in water. The first one was found and I was called and he offered to return the disc to me, but I could tell that he really liked it and would use it and I wasn't attached to it...
I've been playing about 11 years, started at age 67. I throw all stand still back hand, not coordinated enough for x step or run up. Get the best distance with my 155g River, but that is only around 200 feet on level ground. Would like to throw some forehand, but it hurts so don't.
I'm sorry, I really had a good laugh on this one! I know the outcome could have been bad but I could just picture those guys crapping their pants when that disc hit the number plate!:D I have been in that same scenario myself several times while I was playing solo.
Yes, the guy I play with most of the time has a green Summit that he has had forever and uses it a lot. It has a wonderful smooth look and feel after years of use.
My bag consists of about 70% Latitude 64 and 30% Innova, and that wasn't by design, it just happened. I seldom make changes other than for very windy days. The only change outs that I do otherwise is I do like to change my putters. It seems that when I change my putter it helps me concentrate...
