Ok this is a sick post. Not my thread buuuuuut I feel like I've gotten on the right track with a 'weight targetward' cue before but had no idea that my left leg took over some when I did that but it absolutely does. Putting emphasis on the left leg drive feels somewhat alien and uncoordinated...
I'll take a crude crack at answering this hoping somebody else fills in the gaps because I was also quite puzzled by this at one time.
The flinging forearm is the active extension of the elbow driven by your rotation
Using the shoulder is using well... the shoulder and back muscles to further...
For me certain cues have made other cues make sense to my body later. The lawnmower (which always seemed bad) makes sense after a couple years of 'ok wtf am I actually supposed to be doing with my upper body'.
My 2 cents. NOT FACTS. The wrist/arm whatever is going to roll over to protect itself. This happens automatically. To throw nose down you need to teach the body that it is going to be okay if it rolls over clockwise rather than counterclockwise.
Hey buddy, I'm probably missing a lot of context here but what really stands out to me is the pause you make before you swing. There's no way that can be a good thing. You're losing all your momentum. When's the last time you tried to throw it fuckin hard and let the body figure it out?
I...
So I'm just making sure I reach out away from my body as much as I can. Feel: Too much out wayyy too much i'm gonna yoink it! Real: I'm reaching slightly more out.
I think it's probably just 'wide rail'. If you search that on this forum or google you'll find a lot of info on the topic but...
Small update dump and brag
Yesterday I threw a dx boss 440' on flat with some light swirly winds. Half my premium plastic bag I can get 400' Accuracy is the best it's ever been. There's been a lot of experimenting to get here so I'll just chime in with the last couple things that pushed me...
probably the only disc in my bag besides putters that if I lost I would immediately replace instead of trying something new in the slot. Immensely perfect for what it does.
Appreciate it.
Closed plant is fixed with a swing thought it's one of those things that sneaks back in
Bracing better is one of the things I am actively working on. One of the ideas in my head is that a larger stagger final step will help.
Trying to get into the pocket currently breaks the...
A trick I'm using to make sure It doesn't go away is to make sure I really feel the pendulum before I start my x step. Towards that goal the elephant walk to start was serendipitous but it's working great for consistency. I'm gonna keep doing it for now.

I fell into some old bad habits focusing on not doing instead of doing but here's me today 330' diamond 171g hyzerturnover and a 300' teebird3 flat linedrive. First gonna work on keeping my weight a little more towards the target I...
Sometimes there's a couple frames in pro slow mo footage where their face goes from being relaxed to looking like a powering up dbz character during the rip. After looking for examples it seems to be not very common or at least an exaggeration so I think I just read into it too much as an excuse...
Just realized it's a 2 parter. To go along with that I needed to not attempt to accelerate the disc at all. AT ALL. Unsure if that will change as it does appear in slow mo's that people let the demon out eventually but I do not want to be messing with that right now and I'd advise anybody...
My current guess is that I will now see significant input to output changes based on my formwork and generating momentum horizontally and vertically. Of which I've worked on a lot in the past but I blew way past it all with my arm.
