I don't think I've even seen a 1.4. Does Miller have some at the Depot? I bought a Domey metal flake 1.3 and was not impressed. I think I might be short changing the mold a little. I really want to revisit Millenium discs. Back in the day it was CE JLS and Polaris off the tee all day. But I...

Hello from SW Missouri!(And a question)

I say play any division that sounds fun. Especially if you have friends or your son are playing. Rec is a good place to start. Masters or Grandmasters can be fun too, but don't think the old guys can't get it around. I've lost bigger in Masters than I ever did in any of the regular AM...

    My Bag (Christoffer)

Lots to choose from. At your power, might suggest dropping the PD2 and I second putting that Teebird in your bag. I know it's fun to try out all of the high speed stuff, but for developing form, the lower speed discs will help you develop at a much quicker rate.

    [Compare] Something like a Polecat?

Just went back and read OP. My suggestion, get more Polecats. Ha.

    [Innova] Thunderbird

Are the lighter weights a little flatter.? Might just be the Champ Thunderbirds I have. But they have considerably more dome and turn than my older PDs that I love.

Loving your setup. A little jealous of your OLF cycle. Wish I had stocked up on earlier runs. New OLFs just aren't the same. I do the same thing with Firebirds. Throw a mix of Firebirds as distance drivers. Also, Qsents are a thing of beauty. I have never seen a disc go so flat and nice...

    2016 ITB

Love it. Envy is one of the best driving putters I have thrown. Thinking about putting one of the Watermelons back in my bag.

    How to throw low speed?

When I started playing about 15 years ago, there weren't the number of high speed discs that there are today. I learned to play with a Roc and an Aviar. I think I had a Discraft X2 after going to a Scott Stokely clinic, and I was amazed at the "speed" that it came out of my hand. I watched...

Solid bag. Are you putting with the proxy/envy combo or the P1xs. I was loving the P1x earlier this year, but went back to KC Avairs. No reason. Just feel.

    [Innova] Thunderbird

Did a little field work this morning with Thunderbirds, PDs and New run Sexton firebirds. Just was interested, and wanted to check flights. Used the UDisc app for distances. Here's my findings... (All in anticipation of Pro Thunderbirds being released) DX Thunderbird ranged from 330-380 ft...

    [Compare] Something like a Polecat?

Proxy is a great suggestion. Nothing really compares to a Polecat. But if you throw Discraft, try a Rattler. I know people on the forums might not like 'em, but I have seen lots of R-Pro polecats still kicking around. And the lightweight Polecats 110-120g are super fun to toss.

    [Innova] Thunderbird

I too am very excited about the Pro thunderbird. Purple DX thunderbirds were my favorite disc last fall. Dropped everything faster, as they were so controllable. Reminded me of the flight of old Pearly Orcs. I have found a few swirly Pro Destroyers recently that were a little stiffer than...

    New to the Forums

Guess I have to fess up, and admit to my long time lurking on the site. Been playing since 2001, and been a DGCR member for a couple of years, but with not a lot of activity. Making it a point this year to contribute to the conversations a little more. Actually that seems to be a theme for...

New bag company out of Portland>>>Odin Disc Golf Bags

Realized that I never gave my thoughts about the bag... I was one of the presales. Nick was kind enough to put the bag together for me, and gave me a personalized towel with my name on it. Super nice of him, and I felt glad to be a part of the first run of these bags. A little background. I...
