Pros:

Racine finally has another course! This one is on an elementary school campus though, but it's something at least. This course was actually better than I thought it'd be going into it. The first third or so plays very short but pretty wooded, which is unique for a school course. The last 2/3 open up more and play more WI school style.

The baskets here are Latitude 64 Pro baskets. These are pretty good baskets. The chains seem a little lighter than other new baskets but these are more than serviceable here. They look like Discatchers from a distance with the bright yellow top band. This makes spotting them a breeze. One pin position per hole.

The design here is very well done with a few caveats I'll get to in the cons. There's a good mix of left, right and straight shots to be had here. I personally liked how they kept it away from the playgrounds and sports fields as much as possible. The few hillsides were incorporated nicely and the wooded area was used to add a few technical, albeit short, holes. Really about the best you could do with the available space.

The flow of the course is pretty easy to follow once you play it. It just makes sense, but I'd absolutely advise using the Udisc map to navigate your first time.

The tee areas are natural. There were orange lines spray painted on the grass denoting the tees when I played. Not sure if this is a normal/common thing they do or not, but it was easy to spot once you got close.

Between the trees that are used well, wind and the undulating terrain there is enough challenge here to appease even course baggers like myself.

The course and school grounds were extremely clean and well maintained. Course is permanent and free to play.

Cons:

The lack of tee signs and/or pads will make navigation near impossible if you don't have Udisc. Hell, finding the first tee would be impossible, let alone finding any of the next holes. Be sure to have a map of some kind.

The course doesn't start near the parking lot. It's a pretty long walk to hole 1. The course doesn't end near the parking lot either, it's a pretty long walk back to your car. If you have Udisc, take a look at the course map before you play here or just for giggles. It gave me a good chuckle.

The rough on the first couple holes is deceptively thick. You probably won't lose a disc, but you really don't want to be rooting around in there to much.

The walking path can come into play on the last 3 holes, and to a lesser extent hole hole I believe it was. Probably not a super busy trail but should be taken into consideration.

Other Thoughts:

I lived about 15 minutes away years ago and have family nearby so I'm probably, scratch that, definitely more excited about this course than anyone. It's actually decent, for a school course. Nothing to go out of your way to play. And It'll most likely be out of your way. That being said, it's not a bad spin. Nice addition to the area.
