Exploring the sport course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 19, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

• Good entry-level course
• Flat (Park manager wanted this version so people who couldn't go up and down the elelvation at Huntress also had a place to experience disc golf)
• Good beginner course
• Cement block markers in the ground indicating tees

Cons:

• Baskets are single chain, skinny and the catcher is a feed basket which is a bit on the small side
• Lots of man-made objects in the park which could pose a problem if it were busy
• Pars are for those who are just beginning the sport
• More experienced players could get by with a putter and/or midrange

Other Thoughts:

It's not a course I'd travel to play, but if I had some free time I'd work on my short game and get some exercise.

Fun Little Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 29, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Fun beginner friendly short course that is perfect for people that want to get out and try a new sport. Course is "designed" well enough to avoid most other activities in the park. Anyone with any sort of flying disc can have fun at this course. If you're in town for a few days, it's a good place to get out and play some.

Cons:

Not challenging for experienced players. Bizarre looking baskets made out of feed tubs with no holes in them so water, trash, etc. collect in them. 1' square "tee boxes" are nearly impossible to find. Some sort of vertical markers are needed.

Other Thoughts:

Not a destination course, but if you're already going thought town, you might as well check it out.
