I was a fan of the L mold. However, the X is superior, especially in Champion. The champ beast x was the first disc I ever tossed (and only) over 500’. Those were the days.
I’ve been at a loss why DX Banshees aren’t more popular. They fly overstable to start, season into perfect straight discs that can handle torque. I’ve got some 10+ year old banshees that are beat to death and they still fly 325+ with no turn.
It has been maybe seven or eight years (maybe more, I was still in university) since I’ve thrown an FD3. The FL is the only mold with that shape that I’ve come across, and flight for that matter. Maybe a Predator comes close but even then, I couldn’t say with certainty. The FL is a glideless...
I was having this conversation with some longtime DG buddies about how the paywall has made everything feel less exciting. The delay in releasing coverage is pretty much a death knell in making a tournament seem impactful or important. We play more disc golf nowadays than we did ten-twelve years...
Once upon a time it came in RPro. It was exactly how you describe. I threw them exclusively (with 30yr). I wish they did another run. In both the plus and regular run.
Last week I received four Destroyers under 155g. The weights are 150g, 147g (penned *DS and .com tooling the rest are embossed), 140g, and 137g.
I'm sold on lightweight Destroyers. Playing the wind right and these hit 450' with what would be a full pull with a putter. I was reaching baskets I...
Early Roc3s were a little varied. Dave D addresses it in a PDGA forum post. I think it had to do with the new Jolly Launcher plastic and the new 3-tech was still a learning process. I had some 2x and 3x Roc3s that were weirdly understable and others were bricks. The early runs even have "plus"...
I'm saying my throw-in was roughly 250' out. Otherwise, it was a very straight mid.
As for the Gator, I was comparing it to, I've been tossing Gators since, I'm not sure, 2009. So just what I know a Gator to be (70% Champ and Metal Flake with a Star and DX sprinkled in). I probably threw a few...
Picked up a Star Caiman. I'm thinking I received a dud. My understanding is these are supposed to be similar to Gators. However, mine has way more glide. Which, did help me land a throw-in from roughly 250' forehand. The fade is very hooklike. Searching for the ground the second it starts to...
Earlier in this thread I raised the issue of diversity jurisdiction not being met. Having seen this, I pulled up the pleadings on PACER.
Honestly, had DGPT/PDGA raised a 12(b) challenge to jurisdiction, I don't see how they could have lost at the district court stage. This was the right call...
