With champion type plastic you really need to add heat. If I am doing a shaving cream or lotion bed I usually use star plastic and let it sit over night. Its hard to do bed dyes with champ plastic because you need heat and the heat can change or wreck your bed.
Contact paper does not seal as well as vinyl does. I would use oracle 651 vinyl instead of contact paper .The oracle 651 does not leave as much adhesive residue and if it does I use citrus goo gone

So an interesting observation that I have made comparing our dyes. It seems that your dyes the color seems to fade more where my dyes the color seems to stay better but the black on my dyes seems to migrate more as my lines seem to more than double in thickness. All of my black dye is a dip...

You have to get the dye mixture hot. So put the dye in a pot and heat it up on the stove not to boiling but hot. Shut off the heat and submerge your disc and let it sit until its cool. Take your disc out and repeat the process but this time let it sit over night after you shut off the heat...
