    2024 dynamic discs open

We are allowed a pretty big surface area behind the marker that some part of our body (usually foot) must be touching when the disc is released. Seems like it is not asking too much for professional players to abide by that rule. Or am I misunderstanding the rule (or has it changed)? Yes, call...

Play It Again Sports Jonesboro Open

That's why I love playing courses like Idlewild and especially Toboggan, seeing it on a course you are well familiar with is even more amazing. I am constantly commenting to my kids--you know, the top pros end up here on their drives...they just look at me funny and say, well its OK dad, you got...

[PDGA Major] 2024 United States Women's Disc Golf Championships

I wonder if the large scoring spreads are a factor? Obviously the higher to par scores go first, so they would be naturally a bit slower. If four 1040 rated players were behind my sons and me, they'd have plenty of time to work an internet job from the benches on each tee...unless I let them...

Go Fund Me for PDGA #33 - Tom Monroe

Sad to read this! Played several rounds with him at Northside in Gainesville back in the early 90s, when his van was a frequent sight in the parking lot. Bought much plastic from him, probably still have a few, but I wouldn't know which ones exactly. His grunts on long throws still resound. A...

    Annoying fast players behind you

I get it. I'm merely offering a different possible way of dealing with it. Unless a course is your back yard, we have little control over who else is playing there. There are different ways of coping.

    Annoying fast players behind you

Whether or not you ever play in in tournaments, strengthening your focus while playing is a good outcome we all would take.

    Annoying fast players behind you

Have someone start taking videos of every shot. That will get you used to being watched. Have them tell you they are putting it on youtube as soon as the round is over. If the tailgater is not actually making any noise or distractions, it is all in your head, and the most likely issue is you...

    [PDGA Major] Champions Cup 2024

Why? I for one would LOVE to see the best players in the world play through a blizzard in a foot of snow. With wind chills near zero. You know, like so many of us deal with all winter long. Lets see, altering discs is illegal, so no streamers. Doesn't one of the players have all white discs...

Can I legally give my discs advil? They sure need it after a round with me.

DGPT Championship New Format...How Does It work?

Instead of giving strokes, what if the higher seeds got mulligans? :) Seeds 9-12 get two strokes (total for both rounds). That is only one stroke per round to overcome for the 32nd seeded player to get to the finals, where scores totally reset, and everyone starts on equal footing. I actually...

Does benefit of the doubt come into play when no players on a card make a call?

But they do, and will continue to throw farther as times progresses. How are they supposed to be making calls on play where the disc can barely be seen? If they can't see, the spotters have no actual authority, and replay cannot be used, then you might as well roll the dice. Or simply limit the...

Does benefit of the doubt come into play when no players on a card make a call?

This wasn't an OB question. It was a leaving OB question. Everyone knows it was OB the entire time. The question becomes did it ever get BACK in bounds. If that vote is zero to zero, (no one saw it, no one has an opinion, etc), then the answer would be it did stay OB = rethrow from where it was...

    Bartledoo

Most 'ace-able' holes have permanent records of aces on the tee sign/pole/whatever. There usually are not many dates/names. Most of us who play are happy to get to C2 on many holes, or not hit first available. That is more common than the pros making an ace on a 350' tree-lined hole. You might...
