Pros:

+36 Innova Discatchers, one set Blue, one set Gold
+36 concrete teepads, each 14 feet long
+professional tee signs at each tee
+18 benches and a couple picnic tables
+course map at hole 1
+bathrooms at new, paved parking lot with three options: women, men, and those who can't figure it out. Also three showers if you want to rinse off after a round
+double loop design brings you back to the parking lot after hole 11
+hilly, each hole has elevation changes
+drains extremely well after rains
+four permanent tee-to-basket options from easy 4000' red/blue combo to expert 7016' par 61 black/gold combo
+in a great state park with camping, beach by a river, 20 miles of mountain bike trails, splash park, covered playground, tubing, hiking trails, horse trail and more

Cons:

-no water holes
-shares parking lot with mountain bike trailhead, some holes sorta close to bike trails

Other Thoughts:

$3 per person park entry fee. Please be courteous to mountain bikers when you see them. A couple of holes border mountain bike trails...fortunately any bike trails run parallel to fairways so disc golfers should see bikers coming.

The 36 basket and 36 tee combos out here bring an immense amount of variety and limit repetitiveness. Beginners will love the easy short layout while pros will be challenged by the tough longest layout. The two layouts in between are fun and challenging too.

The only thing keeping this course from being 5 stars in my book is the lack of any "epic" holes, the kind that get put on "best holes in the world" type of lists. Lots of really good holes here though, including hole 16 Black to Gold, a hilly, twisty par 5, and hole 6 Black tee which is really elevated.

The best course in southern Louisiana.
