Bophut Hills 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Beautiful views, long holes, and lots of elevation change.

Nice, DISCatcher-style baskets.

Most holes play along hills so if you turn it over or come our early you can end up in trouble.

Large pond on hole 9 in front of the basket, a creek that runs through part of the course, and a couple other small ponds that come in play.

Very dense, unforgiving rough, which makes staying in the fairway very important.

Very nice clubhouse on site with a bar and restrooms but usually no food.

There also is a Ninja Warrior course on the property.

Cons:

Natural tees.

Fairways are wide and open, so there isn't a lot of shot-shaping required. This used to be a ball golf course so it is very open compared to most disc golf courses.

The rough is very nasty in some spots and lots of discs are lost (or left) on this course.

Other Thoughts:

This is the newest course in Samui and offers a much different style of disc than the other courses with long holes that are not very technical. The holes play along the old ball golf holes, so it's wide open and the basket locations are mostly flat and open as well. In the future I would love to see some the tree lines get cleaned up in some spots and tees and baskets being moved into the wooded spots to make it more technical and change up the shot selection. There also is plenty of room to add some additional holes, so it will be very interesting to see how this course evolves in the coming years.

UPDATE (16 Sep 2017): Course is not playable. Baskets have been removed from the course.
