Nice, new Discatcher baskets that are in great shape. All the holes are well-marked, with numbered poles signifying the natural tee areas and corresponding numbers on the baskets. It flows well and is easy to follow. The course uses trees effectively and has fair lines, with several holes that allow for at least two and sometimes three different routes from tee to basket. Playing the road as out of bounds creates some interesting risk vs. reward decisions, as several baskets are also located close to the road.

It is only a nine hole course. No distances are marked on the tee signs, but the course is short, with most holes in the 175-250 foot range. Two holes are around 350 feet long. Proximity to the road could become a problem, but it is a private road that belongs to the camp, so it is not a big issue. Hole one is actually designed to throw across the road. There are no concrete tee pads, but the natural tees are in good shape and the sandy soil in this area should assure that they will resist becoming muddy after rain.

This is a very good course for a Christian camp. It would be a great place for beginners to learn to play, as it requires the player to execute a lot of different shots to score well. Low and straight shots are needed on many holes; a beginner would be forced to learn not to throw hyzer after hyzer. It is a private course, but the camp employees assured me that disc golfers who call and ask are allowed to come and play when camp activities are not in full swing. Respect the property and the camp rules and go give it a shot!
