Beautiful, Thoughtful, Short, and Fun, 2+ years drive by

Pros:

This course was designed from the very beginning to be a very accessible course. Accessible to families, folks with minor mobility issues, and new players just discovering their love of the sport. The course manages to accomplishes this without being boring and overly predictable.

Number one pro of this course is almost every tee pad you step on feels like a beautiful example of PNW disc golf, only a little shorter. Firs, vine maples, pines, ferns, and salal, framing earthen paths through the timber. The fairways at this point are fairly wide for the length of the holes. Much of the credit goes to Bill and his tireless work to clean up every spot his disc "might" land.

Even with holes ranging between 200-275, 250ish average, the course has enough technicality that experienced players will have fun for at least a few rounds, and beginner will establish some great habits before they move up to longer courses.

Tees are well done concrete trapezoids with 4' in front widening to 6' in the back (reversed on 4,9), and 8' long .

Navigation is circular and very straight forward.

Single use park, disc golf only.

Parking lot is large, has picnic table an porta potty.

There are some campgrounds in walking distance.

Cons:

Long drive for just 9 holes (at least at this time)

No running water, flushing toilets.

Not going to call out 9 holes as a con, but they are shorter holes than average for the region.

Other Thoughts:

How do you rate a 9 hole?
I decided to base my rating on how I use DGCR.

I put criteria in the filters and sort the results by rating. My typical criteria are the cost, number of baskets, tee surface, and location/state. So with that in mind, when searching for free 9 hole courses in WA, I think this course should top that list.

My guess is many of you use DGCR similarly. So if you are reading this you either live nearby or are looking for a 9 hole to play. In either case I would tell you to play this course, I guarantee you won't regret it.
