Mixed bag of fun 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 5, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Decent tee signs
Cement Tee pads
Plenty of trees on most of the course
The course tries to be more than it is

Cons:

The course tries to be more than it is
Throwing over walkways and roads
Holes 17 and 18

Other Thoughts:

First off, let me say I am very mixed on my opinion of this course. On one hand it has some really good holes and several run of the mill holes. Then it has some gimmick holes.

Played the longer blue tees as there is where the signs are.

Hole one has you throwing around other park users. When having to use a mando for a course, there is something wrong with that hole. Your pushing it. in truth, the hole was pushed around the corner of the basketball court to add some distance. The hole should have been just a straight shot with instead with no need for the mando.

Because of the mando, you have a longer walk to hole 2 tee box. Run of the mill hole here.

Hole 3 is a "filler hole" with the road far enough to the left to not really come into play much but the hole is interesting enough.

Holes 4, 5, and 6 are all run of the mill holes though a few trees.

Hole 7 is your first longer par 4 with an OB creek to your left. If you can throw 500ft, this would be a good Eagle. Otherwise it is very birdyable for most players.

Hole 8 is one of the better holes on the course, nice 500 ft shot with the creek on your left and a fence line on your far right narrowing down as the hole gets near the green. This would be a tough 3 for even someone who can throw 500ft as there is a low celling for most of the hole.

Hole 9 is your first "gimmick" hole. Short shot over the creek with the basket raised up installed on a stump.

Hole 10 is a bad hole, throwing over not one, but 2 walking paths AND the main open fairway you want to throw is down a road.

Hole 11 and 12 throw along the walking trail. Now to be fair, this part of the trail looks very new and I hope was added after the course was put in.

Hole 13, another great little hole. Slightly down hill and over a creek to a nice little green. Land on the green and you got a putt, come up short, your OB.

14 is just a filler hole

15 forces a left to right shot but throws over the road/walking path

Then you have hole 16, another GREAT hole abet danger danger. (lost a disc in the pond) From the long it a nice 260ft shot almost totally over water with the hole being on the left bank.

Ah, hole 17, worst hole on the course. WIDE open shot throwing 625ft with almost nothing between you and the basket. Long just because there is nothing there.

then you have the mega gimmick hole 18. Not just an Island Hole, but it uses an old baseball backstop as your only obstacle between you and the basket. I assume you can throw over, or actually though a large hole cut out of the fence. There is another smaller fence past the basket. You must land between the two fences or throw from the drop zone. Coming in at just 195ft from the long, it is a putt putt type of hole.

In reality, I enjoyed playing this course. Yea, it has some bad holes, but I was one of the only people in the park and it didn't matter. This is a small town with a course that is actually worth playing.

Would I play here again? Yes I would. I actually want to play it again someday, I would rather skip hole 17, but I enjoyed playing the rest of the course. I would have fun playing a tournament here.

Unique and fun 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 25, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course has lots of variety and some very unique holes. Brand new great baskets, Pads, And signs. Mondos all marked. Shade on every hole. Variety of long and short. Variety of trees and small creek. Hole 18 is super fun and unique through a Baseball diamond set up. Play over small creaks on several holes. Get to get shade from old trees without it being deep forest. A few Ace Tries. And a few very long par 4s.

Really great layout

Cons:

1 or 2 cross over other fairways but i don't think it will be crowded enough. A few longer walks but all shaded.

No elevation at all but they did great with the layout.

Other Thoughts:

Not to far off the highway. I really do recommend stopping. I had a blast. Great layout.
