Nice little course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 12, 2014 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Very easy to navigate. Not overly busy. Great mix of shot opportunities. Literally zero chance of losing a disc

Cons:

Tee pads are a little short and overlap with other tee pads. Two of the holes are a little close to the parking lot.

Other Thoughts:

I was really pleased with this course. It's a quick par 3 course that can be played in 30-40 minutes. All holes are par 3s even the ones over 400ft. So you need a big arm if you want birdie and par opportunities. If you can shoot even par or 1 under, you should be happy. Even though I don't live near by I will definitely play this course again

Neat Nine 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 14, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Despite being only a 9hole course, this is well worth playing. It makes good use of the terrain, to include park features such as the gazebo mando on 9. Designers offer a good mix of downhill and uphill shots as well. Concrete teepads have been installed, and while they could be slightly longer, they are very well made.

Cons:

Apart from finishing the course and wanting to play a few more, there's not much to complain about. The teepad for 4, which plays downhill, could have been leveled out more properly, and it's easy to tee off on 9 rather than 6 as you pass by it on the way from 5 if you're not paying enough attention, although the easily read sign makes this somewhat amusing. Also, errant drives from 9 could prove hazardous while driving on 6 if someone hyzers a shot out throwing RHBH, as I nearly took a disc to the head in this manner.

One of the best 9 hole courses I've played 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 28, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Concrete tee pads
- Some holes longer than you'd expect
- Good use of the land available
- Trees come into play and add just the right amount of difficulty

Cons:

- Tee pads are a little too short
- No signs (yet, but they're coming)
- Layout is a bit confusing (without a map or signs)

Other Thoughts:

This course is a nice addidtion to the Dayton area, as there are very few 9 hole courses around. This type of course, in a high traffic area like it is, is a great way to get newcomers introduced to the sport. The course is easy enough to make a new player want more, and difficult enough to not bore the season player.

The tee pads are a little short for my taste, and there are no signs yet, but I've been told they will be ordered and installed soon. But, the course designer(s) made good use of the smal amount of space they had to work with. I was expecting all 150-250 foot holes, but quite a few of these are quite a bit longer than that. The low hanging branches and large diameter trees add a nice amount of difficulty and keep things interesting. This course is a perfect into to the sport. Hopefully new players will use this course for practice, or as a springboard to move to the larger, more difficult local courses available.
