Pros:

The course wraps around the athletic facilities on the property. The baskets are discatchers that are in decent shape and caught well enough. There are concrete blocks set in the ground with hole # and a directional arrow. The course is permanent. The flow was easy to follow and started and ended in the same area which is nice. The track as well as sidewalk and roads can be used as OB to add something of a challenge. The course was clean and well maintained (basically it was mowed).

Cons:

Nothing to see here. The course wouldn't be playable during school hours obviously limiting access. Pretty wide open and short. Basically flat, I guess there is some very slight elevation but not much.

Other Thoughts:

This is another course in Wausau. Good exposure to the kids. Don't go out of your way to play this. Literally all the other courses are better. If in the area just hit up Yellow Banks a couple times.

Pros:

Disclaimer: This review is written in the context of this being a school course primarily for middle school aged players.

This course is one of two middle school courses in town. The other is at John Muir. The baskets are in nice shape, and easy to see. Some terrain is used in the design.

Alot of holes are short so many ace opportunities for the better players.

Cons:

There are no tee pads, rather, concrete markers in the ground with a painted arrow that point toward the hole. These markers are about 18" square. Some are actually tripping hazards so line up wherever you feel is appropriate.

Most of the holes are very repetitive, just wide open flat shots with no obstacles except for other facilities (like the track or soccer field.) If people are present in those areas, it's risky to play.

Other Thoughts:

Again, this is a school course. I am surprised to see a couple longer holes for what I thought kids could throw but that's ok. It's also usually very windy in the area making that a factor to consider.
