Heavily wooded course, which makes it excellent for those that demand technique over the redundancy of wide open courses. Many elevation changes, which one would expect when playing in the mountains of western Maine. Fairways have plenty of wood chips. Teeing off a cliff, is my idea of adventure and that's what I want when playing, once again, it sure beats throwing a disc from a tee pad into an open field. I feel as though the Pars are appropriate, the Maps/Signs at each tee are basic, yet descriptive enough to exemplify where the baskets are and how much the elevation change affects the distance of your toss. There are plenty of benches to relax on throughout the course as well as garbage cans, recycling cans and ashtrays for you to dispose of your crap along the way. $5 to play all day...

36 holes would be nice...

The family that runs this course are very friendly and always on site. They have a nice shop with limited drinks and snacks, so make sure you bring plenty of fluids to keep hydrated if you plan on playing a few rounds. There is a trail to the top of the property from the basket on #11, which isn't for the faint hearted, though the views from atop are well worth the journey. And you cannot miss the tree houses, which are very well constructed and beautiful inside and out. TimberStone DGC is a wonderful place to come spend your days and your nights if you decide to rent a tree house...
