One big valley with a nice mix of elevation, spotty trees, and views.

-Amenities: Textured rubber tees, DGA baskets, tee signs with basic maps and distances.

-Environs: This section of the park is essentially a giant grassy bowl. Various sections of the course have nice overlooks of what feel like rolling, hilly pasture. Just as notable are some great views of downtown LA from one segment of the course. Other than some walkers on the perimeter, there isn't other traffic inside the course.

-Elevation: Two breathtaking downhills, several challenging side slopes, and some other moderate hilly holes. Definitely the most notable feature of the park, these slopes alone make for a fun course.

-Loop: A perfect loop of 9 holes. The last basket is just feet from the first tee.

-Shot Shaping/Gameplay: Nothing mind blowing, but a solid series of medium-length holes requiring a combination of angle control, big ripping, and light shot-shaping. There is a moderate number of trees that factor into every hole in some way, some more than others. Generally they form either very generous fairways or last-minute basket guardians. The hills need to be handled smartly, but also have a major fun factor as you smoke some shots off what feel like cliffs. One par-4 is a change of pace for the closing. There are several birdie chances for 300' throwers, and bogey should only happen on a flubbed approach.

Pretty standard SoCal stuff.

-Technical Challenge: Or rather, lack thereof. Arguable there are zero technical holes; the toughest shaping gets is avoiding basket-guarding trees.

-Par-3 Standard: 8 out of 9 will feel like you should birdie them in two if you don't. It's not a particularly strategic course beyond controlling for elevation.

-Park Users: This definitely isn't the worst place I've seen for pedestrian traffic, but there were some at-risk sidewalks and two of the holes were being used for a picnic and a photo shoot.

Kenneth Hahn is a fun little course thanks to a pleasant hills environment. You'll enjoy a couple of bomber shots and pretty greens. On the whole, it's not pushing any envelopes and I've seen plenty of courses with similarly elementary shot-shaping. I give it a Typical.

-Parking: There's a fee sometimes to park inside the recreation area. However, I had no trouble parking on Punta Alta Drive and walking in. It was just as convenient.

Lots of elevation change, nice baskets and tee signs/pads. Lots of holes to air it out, and has some good downhill distance for a 9 hole course. Most of them our downhill though so your disc will carry.Layout was pretty easy to follow for most part. The park itself is very nice and great for the family. One of the best actual parks I've seen

Some of the pins are overly guarded making you layup with no shot to the actual basket. Sprinklers go off and don't stop directly on the holes and surrounding it. Felt like I was at a water park trying to dodge sprinklers. It's kind of a repetitive throw a big downhill shot, and the wind is a nightmare there. You play at the top of the park in a huge bowl and could be a nice 15-18 hole course. Tee pads get standing water because they're plywood in some parts and not good to throw off when sprinklers go off

I pretty much covered it in my pros and cons but wind can be a big factor here and there's potential for this course to be great and a few holes are. Hole 1 and 2 start off super fun after that I kind of lose interest
