Lions Park 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Nice little park. The course is well signed and easy to navigate. Concrete tee pads and signs at every hole that say the par and distance.

Cons:

This course is insanely short. Hole 9 is under 100 feet. All the pars are too high. If they reduced all the pars by one (made the par fours into par threes and the par threes into par twos), it would be a much more accurate representation of how easy this course is.

Other Thoughts:

Great course for practicing midrange and putting. Fun course.

Ego Booster 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 17, 2011 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Signs, concrete tee pads, baskets all in good shape. The park is well maintained. No problems following the layout.

Cons:

Very short. Range from 93' to 322', with most around 150'. Fairways are very close together, so an errant shot on some holes will be heading toward others playing the course. Several holes boarder along a playground area, so non-discers are also at some risk.

Other Thoughts:

The layout takes full advantage of what space is available, there just isn't very much room. If the course starts to get a lot of play, it should be moved to another park in town (there are lots of them). The upside is that this is a very good course for beginners to start with, as you can not get into very much trouble. If you have played a bit, the challenge isn't really there. However, having shot a 21 on the first trip around the course, I can tell you it still feels pretty good to shoot a low score.

Putting Green 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 4, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

The grass is mowed short. The baskets are good. There is a store in town where they have a small selection of discs.

Cons:

The holes are very short. There are not many courses nearby.

Other Thoughts:

Some of the holes have no obstructions and are less than 100 ft! This would be a good starter course for rookies. For a more skilled person it is a good course to work on their mid-range and approach.
