Pros:

This review is on the current state of the course when I played it.

The entrance to this course is as good as any course I've been too. As you drive through the entrance of this former ball golf course the excitement builds. It's a half mile or so drive to the clubhouse. As you pull up to the clubhouse you see #18's basket to the right. The land is fantastic. Unlike most ball golf courses there is some great disc golf land. Woods, rolling hills, water, and more. It's a really beautiful piece of land.

Brand new Innova Discatcher baskets.

Hole #7 is a very interesting par 5. Placement down the wooded fairway is a must. If you can get out of the gap in 2 you set yourself up for a possible birdie 4.

There are several interesting greens. #8 green is really cool. See con as well.

There are several opportunities to grip and rip.

Cons:

My #1 con is the course isn't that fun for me. It's hard but it lacks the fun factor. There are also tons of blind holes. I am a pretty decent player and took 0 birdie 2's I wasn't playing that bad. The par 3's are just long a tough. Lots of pitching up. Many of the par 4's are not rewarding. Some take 2 average shots to get a 3. The excitement factor didn't get going. For as good as the land is it lacks signature holes. I played with 2 other friends of various skill level. We all had similar opinions after finishing.

Currently the tees are grass. I've heard rubber tees are on the way.

No signage as of the last time I played. Navigation is tricky in several spots.

I threw a high speed driver for nearly every tee shot. This includes going over the top on the shortest hole on the course. Diversity off the tee is not there. I threw lots of righty hyzer shots.

There are several holes like 3, 5, 8, 10, & 16. They are long par 3's where you are trying to blast through trees to get to the pin.

The addition of short tees will will address the less skilled aspect of the game but it adds a lot of walking which is not fun either.

Like many ball golf courses a lot of the golf fairways were used. There are 3 holes that are pretty much identical. Throw as far as you can then throw left into a protected green.

With a clubhouse serving beer, drinks, and restrooms the course does not play back during the round.

Hole #8 green is really cool but you cannot see it from the tee.

Course hours are not consistent and you never know when the gate is going to be open. Walking from the gate is a long hike!

Other Thoughts:

With proper development of several courses this could become a destination. There is a feel for the land and the clubhouse that you cannot replicate. The isolated area to play disc golf is second to none. The potential is very high and It's definitely worth checking out.

If I ever hit the lottery this is the piece of property I've been looking for to turn into my disc golf home.

Quite a few volunteers have been working hard out there. It's a great sign of the disc golf community!
