Reviewed: Played on:Jul 6, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

*Good for beginners
*Good course for warming up on
*Great course for people that cant throw long distances.

Cons:

*Baskets are very old and have sticks instead of pins to hold the basket up.

*Tee offs are made of dirt
*Only 9 holes

Other Thoughts:

This course is most of the time used by people who are local and know the course well.

Just a Review 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 6, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

>The front side is pretty beginner friendly.
>Good for beginners and more advanced players alike if you know the tee's.

Cons:

>The tee off's aren't marked.
>No course maps or paths
>You have to go with someone who knows the course otherwise you'll be lost.
>Grass is too tall sometimes

Other Thoughts:

The course is still very fun. Provides a challenge especially on the back nine. If you don't go with someone who knows, you'll be completely lost on the back side.

Found: 9 Baskets 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 28, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice town park with many trees and 9 baskets. Serviceable baskets although 1st basket is slanted a bit and with rusty chains (still catches fine). Slight elevation on most holes with good lines to baskets with trees as obstacles to make for a challenge.

Cons:

Difficult to find 1st tee. Tees are not marked with signs and wooden markers are missing from most holes. Course flow is fairly logical if you can find dirt patch and or rutted area of tee pads. Some pads are dangerous in that roots from trees are exposed. Baskets have nickels on top with hole #s, however they are facing away from teepads. #9 ends away from parking however you can play #5 on the way back as hole # 10.

Other Thoughts:

Potential for an average 9 holer with some TLC especially as far as tee signs or markers for easier navigation. Good warm up course for 18 holer located 1 and 1/2 miles due east, challenging Northeast Park.

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 12, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

There are NO PROs to the Plunkett Park "course", it`s pitiful.

Cons:

The cons are plentiful. The baskets at Plunkett Park are in terrible shape, no numbers, rusty, leaning,...There are no tee pads and nothing indicating where the tees are located. I asked the only other disc golfer there how to navigate the course, he suggested just finding a worn bare spot in the dirt and throw at one of the baskets. there was no discernable "course" at Plunkett Park. Baskets, yes. "Course", No.

Other Thoughts:

CHECK OUT THE NEW COURSE accross town, it`s worth the "drive".

Good coarse 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 27, 2008 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Coarse is small, tight and mostly wooded. The lay out is pretty straight forward. If you stop in the first parking lot you come to, youll see a disk golf sign in from of you. This is the tee for hole one. Best I can tell Hole two is a par 4 and the rest are par 3.

Cons:

Natual tees worn, targets are old 80's style mach baskets. There are no signs on any of the holes.

Other Thoughts:

This coarse is a very playable and enjoyable course. When the new 18 coarse is in place I will still play this one too. I just really like the feel of this coarse even though it is not maintained very well at all.

On its last Leg 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 26, 2008 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Its better than nothing. A small local league plays here every Sunday @ 1pm. they invite anyone to play with them for a small league fee. If you play with them they have made the course as fun and challenging as possible by making up new tee offs. Its not a long course and you can find the spots in the grass where the locals tee.

Cons:

This course was built back in the early 80's and is lucky to still be standing. There are no marked TEE''s and the course is really short. I you live in town its ok. I would not drive just play this course.

Other Thoughts:

A new 18 Hole course in Mexico is close to being playable. It is down the street from the MMA. When it is playable Plunkett Park course will never be touched.

Seems like it's been abandoned 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 10, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

A chance to get some exercise

Cons:

No tees
No signs
No intuitive flow
Dilapitated baskets

Other Thoughts:

I hate totally dogging courses because someone has made the effort to put a course where none existed and I respect that.
This is literally the worse course I have ever played.
It literally looks like no one has been able to keep it up or maintain it.
I basically made up my own course since there are no marked or obvious tees anywhere.
If you are driving the I-70 corridor, don't waste your time going here unless you are just trying to increase your number of courses played and have time to waste.
