Pros:

- Requires a couple of different shots and specific lines. Hole #1 is a pretty stock RHBH straight to fade shot. Hole #2 finishes right and requires a specific line. There are a couple of elevated tees with initial gaps (#3 and #9). Hole #5 requires accuracy. Hole #6 finishes hard left and calls for distance control.
- Serves the community well. The people that play this course really seem to like it.
- Beginner friendly. It is frequently recommended to beginners and casual players that ask where to play.

Cons:

- Layout. When you put out on hole #3, you turn around and face the tee and walk to the #4 tee. Hole #5 throws past the tee of #7 and the green of #4. This most recent round, I got to #7 while people were teeing #5. I decided to wait. One of the gentlemen on #5 badly griplocked a shot and sent it flying past me. I also saw a shot on #7 that hit the first available tree, kicked straight right and landed on #5's tee pad. I played the outside hole on #8 and turned over a forehand and put it near the tee on #4. Hole #9 has a pavilion area to the right of the landing zone that is blind from the tee.
- This may not be fair and could be my dumb luck, but every time I've played this course, I've encountered people on course that aren't playing. Maybe sitting in the woods and having people hurl projectiles in your direction is far superior than sitting at benches under a pavilion. And it is an innocent endeavor and I'm totally missing out. But it gives me a bad vibe and usually turns a pleasant trip into a nervous uncomfortable one. It isn't a particularly bad area and I've never heard of an incident at this park, but it certainly taints the experience for me.

Other Thoughts:

This course has really cleaned up compared to a few years ago. This takes away from the challenge, but it also makes for a more pleasant experience for most people are playing this park.

This is a tough rate for me. For pure disc golf, it is a little better than Plumb Creek (I went back and corrected my rating there after playing this course). However, with as popular as disc golf has gotten and as many people come to this park, the layout is unacceptable. I rated it a 2. I wouldn't argue a 2.5 one bit, but I definitely feel the overall 3.0 rating (as of my review) is inflated.

Pros:

This is a basic/standard 9 hole city park course, most likely to be enjoyed by newer to intermediate players. Park was nice, ample parking, big kiosk with course map. Course is set apart from the other features of the park.

9 good baskets, really nice brick tees, and colorful tee signs. Offers a good mix of open, tree filled park style, and woods, and pretty much utilized everything the land had to offer. Each hole was unique. Well-maintained- mowed grass and worn in fairways in the woods.

Cons:

Not a bad course, but nothing that really excited me either.

Lacks a wide variety of hole lengths, just 120' difference between the shortest and longest (210'-330').

Holes 1 and 8 had 2 tees. #1 offers a different angle, #8 offers an alternate narrow fairway. Just my opinion, but either give me alts on all 9 or on none of them, otherwise it is just random and confusing.

Other Thoughts:

My rating for this course is more like a 2.25. Nice place for locals to play, quick and enjoyable for out-of-town course baggers, but not recommended for travelers looking for some challenge and something memorable.

Nice step up for kids after getting introduced to disc golf over at Inskip Junior Park. For new players older than "kid" age, this would be a fine place to play your first few rounds- basic challenges and little chance to lose your disc or have a frustrating experience.
