Enjoy the ride with Rose Lane ;) 2+ years

Pros:

-Note: Rose Lane is an uber driver. She's going to drive you around a memorable, but crazy route.

-Rose Lane. She's mighty fine. She's appealing, she's forgiving, she's sincere, and she's fun to be around. She's all around a great lady! Hold on tight and enjoy the scenery.

-She gets you to see what you love here. The holes are for the most part great and fun to play. The first two holes are both pretty good holes. But hole 3 is an outstanding "top of the world" shot. It's a 469' par 3 that I can reach with a mid-range. It has a few par 4's if you play the long pins. #17 is a beast of a par 4 from the long. It's a 733' par 4 with a thorny ditch in play for most of the way. The short pin is great too! It's a long par 3 with a basket on a hill.

-Great variety in fairways here. You step in the car and just let her drive. She goes straight, she goes left, and she goes right. Now on some holes she lets you choose which way she takes you. Holes 10, 11, 15, 16, and 17 have two pin positions and they change the fairways a little. Hole 10 has a left pin and a right pin. She knows the road less traveled by, but she lets you decide. #11 is a slightly downhill par 3 from the short pin that plays over a small ditch. The long pin plays about 485' and as a dogleg left. #15 has a short pin to the left on the side of a hill. Hole is a blind shot downhill to the short, but the long pin is 327' straight ahead. She's driving fast! She'll drive down that curve going 70 mph like nothing, or she'll drive you down straight ahead. #16 is another location preference hole. You either like a 402' bomb down and through a meadow, or a 237' flick around a meadow. #17 is like a busy highway where Rose eventually makes a U turn. But there's two U turns and she'll take the first one where there's more traffic, or the second one which is almost at a dead end.

-She gives options on what pads to play too. She'll drive you to a pad and offers if you want to stop further away or closer to the pin on hole 2. It's 264' from the short and 321' from the long. But same look to the hole. But #8 is different from each look. The long pad offers a straight and less intimidating shot, but is longer. The short pad is a difficult flick around the trees. I played the long pad, and it was worth it, as I got a birdie, and was as sweet as strawberry jam.

-She's not afraid to go on those backroads either. For instance hole 14. It's a short hole at 177' but it's NARROW. Very tight and dangerous the whole way there. I threw my warden and it slid past the basket and into the deep woods. I barely saved par on this one. This hole is sketchy like hwy 441. She also drives you through a dark alley on #9. But it's another quick one, as the hole is only 237' and downhill. Both holes are intimidating, but they are both great, and leave you loving Rose even more.

-The elevation changes are significant here and there. Holes 2-6 all show that with good elevation changes that make the holes more different. She doesn't like it too flat.

-There is a practice basket by the parking lot.

-There are tee-signs that state the shape of the fairway, and the distances of the holes. Good enough for me. And it's easy to navigate. You know where Rose is taking you next.

Cons:

-Some holes are a bit crammed in and play a bit too close to each other. Holes 5 and 6 are very close. Rose will take you down and back up a one lane road down then back up a steep hill. Holes 11 and 12 are also very close. Especially the approach shot on 11's long pin and 12's fairway. Always danger on driving down a one lane road.

-Holes 7 and 13. #7 is very close to the walking trail, and the basket has a dropoff, which increase the risk in you going by the road or fenced field. She drove us down the road during a street racing event. And Rose and I got stuck in a traffic jam on #13. It's a 335' uphill tweener. It's past a tree with hanging branches that force Rose to stomp on the brake at an approaching red light, and she pulled over into the woods when I played this hole. Basically saying the limbs will knock down you disc and potentially kick it into the woods to the right. We were left stuck in the woods while the tree wrote Rose a speeding ticket.

-You have to meet Rose all the way down the parking lot, past the practice basket, and meet her by the dog park. And she drops you off at the parking lot you first see. So if you did not park there, she'll make you walk a bit of a distance back to where you park. Hole 1 and 18 end far away from each other.

Other Thoughts:

-I loved Rose Lane. She was something special! I didn't want to leave her, but I had to. But the great thing is that she's free all the time, and will drive you around as many times as you like. My favorite part of the ride was when she drove me straight down the top of the world (#3 is my favorite hole.) I also loved the drive down the alley (#9) and the scary ride down the narrow road on the side of a mountain (#14). There were a couple of parts to the ride where I was like "Whoa! Slow down!" But for the most part, the views were awesome and the layout was great!

-The course is really a 4. The hole quality is above average. And I'll ride through it with Rose again and see if the roads will be better paved next time. Because it's a little bit rough right now with the tall grass. Looking forward to seeing her again.

-Signature holes:
Hole 3. Awesome top of the world shot. A beautiful one too!
Hole 5. Neat straight downhill flick shot ace run out of the woods.
Hole 9. Very cool tunnel shot between two rows of trees.
Hole 12. Another great tight hole.
Hole 14. Super fun ace run down a <10' fairway and along a sloping hill.
Hole 15. Beautiful shot through a gape with two pins
Hole 16. A great meadow hole that is a flick ace run, or a 400' bomb into the woods.
Hole 17. A truly fun bomber hole!

-Make plenty of time to play this course. It is great! I see that holes were changed pretty recently. I think you'll love Rosie!
