Great use of land. Lots of space at the end of the park. Water park, giant kids playground, and community center in the same parking lot. Right behind Rowlett High School. Very easy to get to.

Great baskets and teepads. Lots of space, well made, no issues on runups. Signage is good although should have been installed better. This course is well maintained. Never been when the grass was not mowed and manicured.

Cedar trees all over. And thick. And dense. And grabby. And lots of cedar trees to throw over, around, or get stuck in. Did I mention the cedar trees? You have some of the holes where you have to throw a line. You are not going to 'get through' most of these trees. If you go off fairway, you are probably not coming back on. I love this because I like throwing lines but tired of looking at cedar trees.

Distances are all over. Long, short, and everything in between. I think this course does a great job at mixing them up. There is a little elevation added in up and down, but nothing significant to worry about changing a shot up.

Looking down at the lake on a late night summer round on hole 15 is beautiful, just wish you could see more of the lake or play around it more, but take what you get.

Parking is fantastic. Never had an issue parking here, but never saw the course overwhelmingly played. Not the busiest course, not the most deserted. Hardly ever have to wait behind anyone.

Best hole is not hole 15 although it is prettiest. Best hole to me is hole 7. Great low screaming RHFH under one of the 3 cedars they did trim up, or have fun and RHBH over the top and let it just stall out. Couple of shots and a fun hole.

Did I mention anything about these cedar trees? They are THICKKKK! My son's and I have lost multiple discs here, one of which I could see, just could not get to. It's like discs hit the cedars and disappear...

Whoever gave the idea for install on the baskets and signs needs mental help. The basket sleeves are installed in a 5 gallon bucket that is then buried in the ground. Interesting idea, until Texas heat soaks the moisture up and the dry cracks around the baskets show how they are installed. Not safe for keeping baskets secure and they wobble like crazy. And the idiot that screwed in the signs pretty much cracked every single one. Nice work breaking something on every hole as you install. Do better people.

Like others said, most of the shots are dead straight. Long, short, those trees again, but the basket is right there, staring at you. Would have been nice to have some good doglegs and angles added. This park has the land, just not the idea.

Even with all the trees, this course is hot in summer. The trees block the wind, but are not tall enough for the sun. You take a beating on the back nine, and the front nine. Hard to believe with all these trees that shade is almost non-existent.

Worst hole is hole 8. This hole has great opportunity. Great gap to hit or go over with big arm, to the biggest most wide open field possible. Make the gap, and it's just long. The basket should be moved left much closer to the tree/trail going to hole 9. You would not interfere with hole 9 teebox and would have made this a much better par 4.

Fun course. Will only improve with play and getting trampled in a bit. Would love to see some alternate pins or alternate teepads. Make the course more friendly to better and less experienced players at the same time. The park has lots of room and this will be a big improvement.

Re-seat the baskets properly so that they are more secure.

Drive slow through the parking lot. Lots of people using for lots of reasons, but a ton of kids for the playground and water park. Be safe.

Hoping that this course opens up the possibility of more courses in the Rowlett area.

- Tee signs looks good, not vandalized
- Concrete tee pads on every hole
- Lots of little hills that the course plays up and down on
- Good amount of distance required for many holes
- Make shift benches at several holes, thank you tree stumps!
- Lake is in view in many spots and is pretty to look at
- Although wide there are a few tunnel shots out here
- Juniper trees and cedars are abundant on and off the fairway

There is construction taking away holes 17 and 18 right now though still technically playable. Some tee pads are under dirt from the caterpillar digging up holes. They are putting in a gas pipeline as I understand it. Sucks because the course isn't even a year old yet.

It felt like many of the trees could have been used more to create a very technical course and instead they used the more open section as fairways and the wooded section as the rough. A lot of holes out here you can throw it hard and hit the trees behind the basket and still get a birdie or par.

Not enough challenge other than distance and slight elevation. Basket locations leave a lot to be desired.

It feels like someone who doesn't like wooded courses designed this place as I would have went a completely different route than the one they went. It's a decent course and is challenging for most players but feels a little boring, uninspiring. Still not a bad option even in the disc golf saturated area that is DFW.

-- The infrastructure is almost all there: Map, level and big concrete tee pads, quality baskets. Restrooms at the splash pad. There is also a lost disc box. And there is mulch around all tee pads and baskets.
-- Elevation. Sixteen holes have elevation.
-- Navigation. Most tees are close to and visible from the preceding basket. There are also directional arrows welded into the bottoms of the baskets to point you in the right direction.
-- Disc golf only land. There are other activities in the park, but the disc golf course avoids them.
-- The best holes are 2, 7 and 17. Two and 7 are RHFH in the 250-300 range and require you to hit a gap (not overly tight) to reach the basket. Seventeen is 390 feet uphill with three trees across the fairway 75-100 feet from the basket.

-- Distance variation seems good on paper with 9 holes 300 feet or shorter and four longer than 400 feet, but the shorter holes mostly play uphill and the longer holes mostly play downhill.
-- Trees are abundant on the property but are sparsely used in the course design. There are a few that are obstacles in fairways, and a few baskets are guarded by trees, but there are no wooded holes on a piece of property that is full of trees. Way too often, a basket is set in front of a stand of trees when it could have been tucked into the trees to add challenge and diversity. Eight is a good example of how bad this is. You've got a gap in the trees about 100-150 feet from the tee. Once you clear that, you've got 400 feet uphill to the basket in an open field with one tree. Moving the basket right (following the tree line or even tucking it into the trees) would have made the hole much more interesting. Nos. 9, 10, 12 and 16 are examples of the basket sitting in front of the trees rather than in the trees.
-- No water. There is a beautiful water view on 15, but the water is at least 100 feet past the basket. You get glimpses of the water on 8 and 9, but it NEVER comes into play.
-- Seating. I almost never care about this, but on a long, hilly course, seating would be nice. This course offers three seats (cut from trees) at No. 13. There is no other seating on the course.

-- The lost disc box is managed by a local hemp store, furthering the public perception of disc golfers as a bunch of potheads.
-- Navigation is really good, but there is some hesitation going from 10 to 11. A marker at the trailhead where you turn left would help.
-- There is very little wrong with this course but not much right, either.
-- When you enter the parking lot from Main Street, drive all the way to the end to reach the disc golf course.

This is a super clean well manicured area. The baskets are brand new the signage and the keypads are great. There are some good views of the water and some trees around the perimeter. A few holes have a tree or two for obstacles.

With this many trees it is amazing how straight and boring most of the holes are. They avoid almost all obstacles.

And summer this is going to be a very hot course with the avoidance of most of the trees there is not very much shade.
