Wandering around campus looking at the phone? That’s a disc golfer

Other Thoughts:

18 holes spread out around a huge multi-school campus. The baskets are old DGA's. Most of the the numbers have faded away, and for some reason, basket #18 is in the hole #17 position. There are no tees and no signage. GPS navigation using uDisc is a must - especially when figuring out several long walks between holes.

Does a good job of "using what's available" since most of the holes are in open fields around school buildings. The middle section of the layout (#9 - #13) does the best: parking lots, streets and sidewalks are used for OB, and you play two short holes that take advantage of a steep hillside (#11 goes up, and #12 comes down)

Overall the layout plays pretty soft. Some short par 3's that don't have many obstacles, and the par 4's are in the 400's. Hole #17 plays across the fenced outfield of a baseball diamond. I managed to hit the far foul pole, eliminating another parked birdie

Holes #1 - #7 are open, but use some mature trees to shape the lines a bit. The middle holes provide the most variety, then #14 - #18 are pretty monotonous trudges around and across athletic fields.

Decent, but certainly not memorable for much except all the walking.

Cool to be a kid at this school------------ -+ 2+ years

Pros:

Well groomed fairways, one could probably play barefooted if they wished to :)

The way I played this course It was set up for an advanced player. As there was a couple of long holes (#8, #14 and #16)

Holes # 1- #6 are fairly short, but it's adjacent to the Middle School and I can see this as a benefit. As the children can learn to play during a gym class (for example).

Ample parking

Cons:

It's currently not set up for a rec player (As I'm sure most players would be, since the course is on school grounds), but it can be easily fixed to have multiple tees and thus making this course more accessible to the mass audience that could benefit from having multiple tees.

No defined tee area, I played as the map presented itself and basket to basket when applicable.

On school property, This isn't really a bad thing. But if this course was in a park it could be played more.

I think if there was some kind of colored duct tape in the basket well pointing to the desired tee area it would benefit most players.

No kiosk, if you don't print or have a map beforehand your going to have troubles locating each hole, if this would be your first time playing this course.

Some long walks between holes, especially if you parked by hole # 1, As # 18 is on the other side of the campus. But one could walk to the right of the High School and cut through the baseball fields and to the parking lot by the Middle School.

No public restroom.

Other Thoughts:

Since this course is on school property lets hope that the EDGE program is being introduced to the students------- -

Selinsgrove (pronounced SEAL-ins-grove) is sorta in the middle of the state. If your traveling, you might want to make prior arrangements for overnight stay as there's not a lot of hotels in this area. and if you plan to stay in a hotel during the Little League World Series and don't have a reservation, you might as well forget about finding a hotel within a 2 hr radius.

Can not play course during school hours or school activities (As some holes play a long the Football stadium/ parking areas # 6- # 8, the baseball field # 9 & # 10, the soccer field # 13- # 17.

I don't think I should have to say this, but since this course is on school property. Smoking, Drugs and Alcohol is a big no no!!
