Too Fancy

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 29, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

Ten red Veteran baskets surround Eudora Middle School, along with its sports fields. I say ten because there is a practice basket just east of hole 1. Navigation is made easy by sizable tee pads and full- color DD tee signs in the ground.

OB is an enemy for your scorecard that is well-used here. Hole 1 is surrounded by a walking path (don't go too long) which also sits to the left of 2 and 5. Holes 8 and 9 play next to the road behind the school giving the right side some trouble.

Some elevation on the north side of the school adds flavor to holes 3, 4, and 7-9, and the green of 7 has some rollaway scare.

Cons:

No obstacles. Some low power boxes on hole 5 are it besides the OB.

The left side of 3 is bordered by backyards. It's long, downhill, and open to the wind. Losing a disc in someone's backyard is a possibility.

Distances seem like a bit much for a middle school course. Only two holes are sub-275ft, and five of the remaining seven are over 300ft. Not really 7th-grade friendly.

Other Thoughts:

Why was so much money poured into this course? Top-end baskets? Concrete tees? Tee signs? All for... this? Who brought the money? It's sad the design is so flat, but as someone who can reach the 300+ hole distances, I appreciate the concrete to launch from... but I probably won't be playing here again.

A line I've used before: there isn't much to say about this course, cause there isn't much here. Nothing to really see here besides a +1 for your course count.

Boring

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 20, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

Great Cement Tee Pads
Great tee signs
Great Baskets
Decent course flow

Cons:

Everything else

Other Thoughts:

This is one of the most boring courses I have played in a long time. Just look at the pictures I uploaded. Do you see any tree's?

Nope, this is a school yard course that a lot of money was put into, however the area is not good for a course. To make up for no tree's, the holes were made longer than a school course should be (In my opinion)

I gave this a full 1 star because of the signage and tee pads. Not many school courses have that.

Honestly, that is all I am going to say about this one.

oh, there is some artificial OB using sports field and sidewalks.

Would I play here again? Nope, would be a good place for some field work, or if you just want to test out a new discs. otherwise this is a one and done course, zero reason to every play here again.
