Tunnels Trees and Thorns 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 11, 2021 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Personable, generous property owner/designer. Great use of land with tunnel shots, open shots, uphill, downhill, left, right, water carries, guarded greens, blind shots, elevated basket, and new Discatcher Pro baskets. Manicured fairways lined with rough woods or tall grass with blackberries and thorn bushes. Moderate distance on most holes. Hit the fairway and most holes are birdieable. One par 4 is eagleable. No O.B.

Cons:

Must search UDisc 'Timber Ridge' to find course. Rough (woods and tall grass) can be very rough, so watch your disc and/or send spotters. No signs yet, so pay attention to UDisc or have the property owner with you.

Other Thoughts:

Course is brand new. Property owner does all the work himself, and it's a very nice course. Please contact him before heading that way, or message me.

Birdies are well earned, especially on 4, 5 and 6. That's a tough stretch! Hole 10 is the owner's favorite. It's a very nice par 4 with a narrowing fairway to a guarded green.

4 baskets are played twice, one of them is the 6' elevated. They are played from such different angles that it is not a drawback.

Hole 14 water carry is not bad at all, but with hole 15 swirling winds can get a disc wet once in a while.

There is no OB. Anywhere. So you're forced to make shots out of the brutal woods. Lots of thorn bushes and trees.

From 9 basket, go way up the hill to get to 10 tee. That's not intuitive. Also from 13 basket, go through the adjacent wooded trail, over the first bridge to 14 pad on your left. Continue down that path over the 2nd bridge to get to the fairway.

The pool house is normally open for bathroom access.
