Another Welcoming Church Course! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 19, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

One of the first things you notice when you drive into the church property are two different signs pointing out where the "Disc Golf" parking is located. There's a kiosk here with a large course map and container with course maps for players to take.

The course starts right in front of the church under the entry way (Look up for the tee sign) and first plays around the old church building and then proceeds to play around the newer church building in a counter clockwise direction. The tee pads are small concrete ones. The baskets are cheaper ones made by Hyton Company. They're fine for the use that this course will get. The tee signs are basic little fiberglass ones with the hole #, Par, distance and rudimentary map showing trees, OB's, etc.

**Be aware that the # 5 tee sign is bolted to the pole that holds the basketball hoop.**

The course is basically a decent little pitch and putt. Has a couple fun little ACE runs. Good place to come and practice you approach game or to bring that newbie or girlfriend.

Cons:

The two holes over by the cemetery kinda creep me out. I over drove # 7 just a little and sailed my drive OB to the graves. Just doesn't feel right.

Not going to challenge most players. No place to really air out your drives. Sub-standard baskets. Probably not available on Sundays. You should check with the church office if you have any doubt about the course being open or not.

Other Thoughts:

Be good stewards to the church by playing your round without your beer, drugs or smokes. Pick up your litter. Watch your %$#0^0# language even after missing that tough putt!

And think, this might be one of the few courses where you can come and pay your respects to a deceased loved one and get a round of disc golf in, all at the same location. Kind of like, a form of One Stop Shopping!
