I don't know if Derek would of wanted you disclosing that info about his personal life. I'll probably get a DVD though.

Pk, thanks for the info, but your caps lock "quit making threads" response seems unnecessarily aggressive. As somebody who doesn't personally know Derek, how would I have known that these videos were delayed because of his financial struggles?
I mean no harm, and this is the one and only thread I made on the subject.
In the future I would advise Derek to not make teaser videos. It seems absolutely absurd to intentionally build hype for a product, and then send your buddy online to chastise folks who ask about it half a year later.

That means lots of people are pumped for these videos to come out. Hopefully that will translate to good sales numbers for your boy. I know I'll be ready to buy a copy.

Anybody have an update on the 2011 Worlds DVD? Pre-ordered it ages ago; I know Hastings had a crash and he's redoing it with a goal to make it amazing, but it would be cool to see how it's going...
Commercials on the Planet Disc Golf TV are saying winter 2012 it will be released.
I would like to share a warning to the world with the Derek Hasting Vibram Open dvd. I bought it on vacation and left it at my buddies house b/c I couldn't stand it. I should have done a little research the video was more of a documentary on the event itself. I was really looking forward to seeing some golf like previous Marshall St/Virbram Open Dvds. I was sooo anxious watching the video. They showed discs being released but then cut back to another person driving. From my limited viewing I only saw one disc completely fly and finish (it was the long distance throw). If the worlds coverage is like this it is going to be a major let down. I wanted golf and what I got was a documentary on the event/side events with no golf.

The Count was being sarcastic - another poster claimed back in May that it would be out within the month, but it isn't yet. Hopefully soon.
I hope there's not a cut every 1/2 second like his other stuff. Disc golfers like to see the flight of the disc. I actually went in to a mild seizure after watching Dereks vibram open DVD.

I have no idea what to think of Derek. I've never met the guy, so I can only speak on his business practices. When he first came onto the scene, 6 years ago, claiming to make a movie to bring the sport into the limelight more, I was thrilled. After years and years of waiting Chains has become the movie we'll never see and get to make fun of it every 3 months when a thread is made about it. This guy either has the worst luck ever, or his work ethic is terrible. I understand it's one guy, I understand it's under-budget, I understand he has a life, but come on. Worlds '11 won't be out before Worlds '12.

On today's broadcast, Crazy John Brooks just referred to the release of the 2011 Worlds DVD as 'releasing right now, basically momentarily', for whatever that's worth...
it'll also be focused on the events leading up to Doss's first MPM title.
Wow, I think it actually is done- on today's DGPTV broadcast, when they were having tech difficulties with the live stream, they started playing the DVD from the start at around the 6585 time marker.
