What does your local DGCR map look like?

Here's my map. It's courses with a 3-5 disc rating within 75 miles.

Before I started playing Disc Golf regularly, I was working at a Gas station in Fort Worth. I had a couple of guys on their way home from the 1999 Round Rock Doubles tournament. I noticed their PDGA shirt, and commented on it, and told them that I've been wanting to start playing DG. So we talked a sec, they left, and one of them returned and gave me their Tourney Disc. It was a Discraft XL. I always thought that was really cool of them!

How does your have extinct courses on the map, is it because you have played them that they show up. I just asked why extinct courses dont show up on maps but they do in the search on another thread.

Which course on my map is extinct?

I think he thinks the 9 holers are extinct cause their color is all funky. You do have some messed up color going on in your map.

There look to be 4 extinct (gray colored flags) courses, perhaps that is truly a green color. I will go look again

Sorry. All I have is paint on my work computer and I guess it does not do well with the colors.

What a great idea for a thread?

I hope to trade in my map (below) for a Raleigh/Durham map this summer...but we've seen that one a numebr of times on this thread already.

I live in Somerville, Ma which touches Boston. I lived abuot 50min from the 3 closest courses. I said "F this" about 6 months in (late 2006) and got a 9 hole built this year 20min away in Burlington, Ma. I'm really hoping this course creaes a lot of players since most couses (as you can see) are in teh middle of nowhere.

The west-most orange basket is Pyarmids which is home of Marshall Street. A great shop but sadly doesn't sponsor this site. Litterally a block away from there is Maple Hill which is sort of the home of Prime Discs which dooes sponsor this site so go buy some discs from them.

Perhaps in 2010 I can make an effort not to mention the Burlington, Ma course in 90% of my posts ;)

Here's my map.
I live in Van Meter over most of the summer, work on the SE side of Des Moines, and spend spring and fall in Ames.

Yeah I suppose I zoomed in too far. I tried to show the lack of courses in the area and how close to Crown Point I was. It was the best I could do. I just played 3 of the courses at Lemon Lake for the first time a couple weeks ago and from my house, it is at most a 40 min drive. I know I have been negligent.

But there is still a lack of courses around here. Besides Rogers, Lemon, and a 9 holer, you have to drive over an hour away.

I am rather ashamed of my map area, that is why I didn't post it. Live in Phoenix, 20 something courses in the whole state! DFW if you zoom in to about 100 miles would be like a billion courses, ok, maybe not that much, but you get the point.

Sad but true.

good news is that I live less than 2 miles away from the one on island.

I'd love to say I played everything in Massachusetts but I don't think I'll ever make it to the Martha's Vineyard course. If we were at MV there's no way my girlfriend would let me off the leash to play a round. I've heard that's a realy fun course though.
