[Help] Recommend an understable fairway

I'm looking to possibly fill a hole in my bag. I'm trying to find a disc that when thrown hard and flat (rhbh) , will go straight quite a ways, but slowly start drifting right, and with as little amount of fade as possible at the end. I don't want drastic turn either, but something very subtle.

I currently have a Fury in my bag for shots like this, but being a speed 9, I think it's a little too squirrely for what I'm after. It'll either turn too hard and sometimes burn into the ground, or if I put too much hyzer on it, it will exhibit too much fade at the end of its flight.

I'm thinking something slower like a speed 7 will be less prone to fading as much at the end of its flight, and if it has more integrity than a Fury, I can get a more subtle and long turn out of it.

Unfortunately I'm not too comfortable power gripping speed 6 discs, so I don't think they're in consideration. My Fuse flies very much like the flight pattern I desire, but I want something longer/faster than it that I can rip on harder.

Am I chasing a unicorn here? Is there such a disc out there, or am I stuck with midranges for this type of flight?

Also, if it helps, at my current arm speed I hyzer flip a Star Mirage about 270 feet, throw a TL3 straight to slight finish for around 300 feet, an Anax about 320, and Ballista Pro about 350.

Late turn is easiest to achieve with slow, very understable discs. Usually you want something that will turn throughout the flight, thrown on enough hyzer to keep it straight initially.

That is unfortunate - slower discs are much easier to get the flight you want. I was going to suggest something like a lightweight Pro Leopard or a Diamond, but I am sure there are other discs. Sometimes a disc needs some seasoning before turning into a late-flipper.

There are discs out there, but restricting yourself to speed 7+ makes it harder to find. Or, you can learn a sidearm . . . :D

Good luck!

also a gstarrr sidewinder has baby turn baby fade

speed 9 and much moar controllable and versatile than the fury

It's what I've always heard the Leopard3 was supposed to do.
Marketing seems to work well here. Whenever Leopard3 was talked about it was described as the (magic) late turn disc. I don't know if it's true; haven't thrown one, but the mental connection became sticky.

I'll eventually get a good forehand :D, but even with a good forehand, having a straight to late turn disc with minimal fade is useful.

I do have a goldline Saint, but I don't think it's seasoned enough yet. Right now it kinda fills the same slot as my TL3, which I currently bag, which is straight with a subtle finish, or baby S curve if I throw it flat and hard.

I figured something super understable and lower speed hyzer flipped would probably be the only way of going about this flight pattern. My Star Mirage does this really well, but I wish I had a disc that was longer.

I have been contemplating getting a Sidewinder. I've only heard good things about it.

I could probably get away with power gripping speed 6 like a leopard, but I know I wouldn't like it all that much. Maybe something like a 150g Star Leopard for ultra flippy goodness is an idea. I'm assuming Sting is relatively the same as the Leopard.

I've also been highly considering a DX Teebird in the 160s that I can beat up.

I think the best way to achieve the shot you're looking for is to hyzer flip a flippy disc and let it slowly turn over. I Don't know of an off the shelf fairway out there that will fly flat and straight with a late turn over. Maybe some, I just haven't seen one..

Some good options;
Maul
Sting
Mantis
G* and Pro Leopards
and a real fun disc for me to make this shot is an Underworld. Flips to flat very easy then turns over and has amazing glide. A great woods disc.

Another vote for hyzerflip. Late turn is a product of a long turn, so when hyzerflipped it takes a while for the turn to "finish" - from a flat release that's just not practical.

Anything understable that you like, no magic disc.

So it seems like I want something in the 6-7 range that's as understable as possible so I can give it a mean hyzerflip at full power.

If Leopard's rim is a little too small for me, Leopard3 sounds reasonable. Maybe a DX Leopard3. I'm not sure how a tournament Underworld compares. If only there were some Origio Underworlds available.

Underworld's flippiness is very weight sensitive - I have a vip 167g that is much more willing than my vip 173g (same color/opacity/wear).

My arm speed has improved, but a few months ago I had a 175g tournament underworld that started a bit more straight. Unfortunately, I lost it before it was really broken in.

It will start out with a lot of fade, but my best disc for this shot is a beat in Pro D Cyclone.

be careful about the sidewinder

all the champs ive seen others throw recently are stable to os

the gstarrr was only the one that had the good ol baby turn baby fade flight that was closest to the true sw flight right out of the box

i like the dx teebird idea

Leopard and Leopard3 have the same rim width. It's the top that makes it "faster" as far as numbers go (my T3s aren't truly faster than my TBs).
