What are the most difficult courses you've played or even just heard of? The closer to Ohio the better. I'm looking for a challenge.

Gateway Park West.....on the East side of Fort Worth. Undoubtably the toughest course in the DFW metroplex.

The hardest that I know of. Any other course that comes close to beating the toughness of this course must truely be a beast!!!!!

I, myself, am pleased with my best score here being a +6.

I know it's far from Ohio, but if you made a DG trip down here to the DFW metroplex.....well, let's just say you find a shortage of FANTASTIC courses to play here.

DFW area truly has a high concentration of awesome disc golf courses for sure. I would love to play Gateway again sometime!

Surprisingly -- given that TX is known for being flat -- the terrain, elevation changes and natural obsticles (trees, creeks, lakes) differ dramatically among a lot of these courses.

Flyboy Aviation in Whitesburg GA. Private course, make an appointment.

The 27 hole layout will take roughly 6 hours to complete:
Flyboyee

McHose Park in Iowa has kicked everybody's ass as far as I know. Its the toughest course I've played at least. The best part is that it is a great course, just tough as all hell.

Thanks for all the responses. Checking each of these out and adding them to my wishlist. I just gotta come up with some sort of travel plan to accomodate as many of them as possible without driving too far.

What's the consensus on Nockamixon? Is it tough? It looked good from the photos.

I'd like to visit Texas sometime soon actually. I haven't been there in years. Was born in the Houston area :)

This is a very fun and challenging course in Ohio. I only was able to play it three or four times, but still nice.
Also it has 24 holes or so and multiple teepads

Hahah, that's one of the courses that prompted me to make this thread. I play it near everyday and I don't remember the last time I finished at par or over. I'm going to play pro tees more often there from now on except for the league rounds they have played from shorts. I love the park but it needs a few more trees to make the shots tougher IMO.

EDIT: No picture for hole 16 at flyboyee =/

Winter Park in Kewaunee, WI (for a accuracy, precision, and balanced shot selection beatdown)

Freitag in Forest Junction, WI (for a whole round full of unfair beatdown)

Add to Charlotte's evil twins --Renny Gold and Hornet's Nest Web -- the two new diabolical grinders Nevin Park and Elon Pro. There may be longer, tricked-up or quirkier courses, but taken as a group no truer skill tests exist on the planet (as the world will see in 2012).
