    Hitting the reset button

I see my name getting thrown around a lot around here! haha! I kind of disappeared for a while there I thought people forgot about me. Beetard, long time no see, or hear anything for that matter.

    Hiprotation or snap

Upper body timing is far more superior than lower body anything, any old day of the week considering that's what ejects the disc. To answer the OP, if I were to choose one or the other; snap is the most important thing. Snap = power/distance/control.

    Realistic expectations

That's what anybody tries to do when I look at video's in the past and present, or articles or whatever. Mr. Ellis has done some of those himself.

    Realistic expectations

That's the almighty X-Factor (Chaos Theory) isn't it? In which something can not be measured. i agree Mr. Wyno! General realistic expectations in this thread is learning by the "book", the great fundamentals before going for that frustrating path of trial and error in the realm of advanced...

    The Myth of Disc Pivot

Agreed, I just do these exercises to avoid long term injury and keep my body in shape and more consistent with my throw. There is really no good reason to "not" workout in my opinion. I just basically use a hand exerciser and clamp down short quick bursts as opposed to slowly closing your hand...

Am I pushing my thumb down too hard??

this problem is OAT cause because you may be gripping too firmly too early. you have to basically grip firmly at the point of the "pound" (release). just like when they teach you to punch in boxing. that last second twitch that closes your hand.

    Quantifying the Right Pec Drill

the wrist will bend keeping your grip and pull fluid throughout, but that is not the difficult part. the difficult part that most people fail to do is opening the wrist completely at the end to release the disc and fling it out of the hand after the wrist extension takes place. the wrist can...
