Selfless promotion but,as it sits now on this site, my private 9 hole course is rated the best US course. I've played few other top rated 9er, ( Lambs creek, Brickyard, Skare, etc.) The Pond still reigns in my eyes, haven't hit Linbrook or any east coast stuff though.

Ridge and silver creek is a good pairing that I'd chose mainly cause it's a quick run up 43 but, Zobel and Wilderness are a great pair too! Plus what you plan on hitting in the greater Milwaukee that's a pretty decent trip already.

The course at Spring Lake is well designed for the beginner/ Intermediate player as most holes are under 250. Each hole offers shot shaping of some degree, with the last two really being the most open and really only require a long drive. Tee signs work well...
