I remember that 150 ft hizer blues. Beginner pack purchased andheaded to badlands for my first throws . Badlands has decent distance and couldn’t imagine how anyone could ever get a par or a birdie . Everything was dumping at about 150 ft and almost ruined me for the game. Then I remembered...
I’m a novice at forehand and maybe shouldn’t comment . But I find it’s the wrist roll at the very end of the throw that causes me turn over discs that I’m not really turning over at greater distances on bh. The harder I try to throw, the more I make that mistake. I really halve to focus on...
I throw a dx gator or base plastic zone in that slot. Stable enough to throw on my crappy side arm form without flipping and has some fade , but doesn’t dump out so aggressively . I auditioned star caiman also but not enough glide for my taste. Base plastic zone is great thrown flat right at the...
I’m back also… been six years since I have logged in or posted. Revisited my stash of discs and realized I couldn’t throw the same stuff with same results also. I have close to 100 discs from first efforts and progressions in the game so was able to find stuff that worked for me. Found it...
1025 putting app. you gotta make all your putts out to 20 ft if you want to score anywhere around 700, and take what you can get after that. when i am struggling 20 ft and in i play it till my first miss , then start over. it gets old quick and stop thinking about it and just putt
This^ also. I am more of 300 ft teebird on the course and find 350 easily with wraiths and flirting with 400 mark with dx and blizzard destroyers. On the occasion I flirt with the 400 mark with a destroyer, the fade is not as harsh as it is closer to 350. Speed 12 felt out of confort zone on...
Sounds like star, gstar or champ wraith might be the ticket. Personally , I find star too slick in the winter and my star wraith is significantly more over stable than my dx. If your playing a lot of trees , star might get to that happy place quickly enough. If gstar wraith is like my g star...
dx destroyer , star wraith or dx wraith if form is clean. dx destroyer rides a gental turn 2 around 350 and flexes out at the very end. would be perfect for 400 ft slight turn overs imo. champ valk might also work
The classics of course.....
-Summit
-Zone.... Heavy esp or z. Tee box, Great headwind midrange, fh, hw putt. Have a headwind that you think might turn over your favorite mid, rip your zone at it and watch it refuse to turn over.
-Roc /roc III ....starting to like champ roc III better for...
I have recently found a little extra distance and find my self getting a bird on 350ish baskets here and there, still play fairway drivers around 300 and mids 200-300. 350 ft is the the distance I found that opens up more choices in distance drivers and premium plastics . Champ plastics were...
Don't know about the other two, but have experience with soldier bag. Only had for about six months and durable so far. large water bottle holders x2 is the reason I went with this bag for summer rounds. Disc space is plenty, over all Storage is just so/so IMO . Biggest complaint would be...
this rings true for me also. (roc or rocIII) if i am having trouble figuring out what to throw, just grab a roc. at the end of each round i recap the the shot of the day, usually a roc. my favorite disc that i woudlnt trade or risk loosing in a lake, my 303 stamp summit given to me by phenix...
I don't need a beefier chief. I already have one of those.......It's called a zone. I just ecently picked up my "old " chief and like it for short little up shots. If it's not going to be replaceable I may have to go back to my beat kc roc. It seams way to soon for a retooling to me? Or...
never realy liked a valk. have found a few in the tall grass and fished a few out of the lake...... give em a pull and just didnt work for me. until rently that is. put a 170ish champ in the bag this week end and let it fly on a few. i expected to get an s flight but just went dead straight...
The really tend to fade pretty hard on nose up shots. The massive flight plate catches a lot of air! Just didn't care for it my self, but haven't tried it in a while. As I progress in this game, a revisit to a mold can be a diamond in the rough. I could see it being good for cleaning up...
I've only thrown one in a night round with led taped on top. Don't know how much the led played into the flight, but it would start turn over around 300 for me. That being said, I start to get a little oat when pushing a fairway past 300.... I have to admit, I was surprised to see the op...
The normal jar tops are one sale for $12.50 also. Not all the colors , but not just the fabulous colors......like the one I picked up at my local target for 13$. I picked up a couple of the regular jar tops for gifts and gonna try the elite for my self. I love my orange and pink jar top but...
