WOODWAY - Three men were honored Monday after they heroically saved a man from drowning in Lake Waco last month.
On March 17, a 29-year-old man reportedly was swimming in the lake, looking for a Frisbee he had lost in Woodway Park.
Daniel Adcock, Tony Griffin and David Hayslip rescued the man who began to drown and brought him to safety where he was then taken to the hospital.
The City of Woodway and Mayor Don Baker proclaimed Monday as Daniel Adcock, Tony Griffin and David Hayslip Day in recognition of their courageous efforts to save the man.
Glad it made it out ok but they never said if he recovered the "Frisbee" or not.
